Name: Azzie
Promp:
Azzie uses an instant polaroid camera to collect their nightmares. The casing is old and cracked from years of use, but it still works just as well as it needs to. Azzie takes the camera with them everywhere, hanging around their neck on an old, raggedy camera strap.
While observing the nightmares in the moment is definitely the most enjoyable way, Azzie always takes a image of the dream for future viewing pleasures. They've spent years figuring out the best way to contain not just the nightmares, but the emotions within the nightmares. It was actually in one of the dreams that Azzie stumbled across the camera. It was just a background prop, not important to the nightmare at all, but it caught there eye anyway. They scooped it up, taking it with them when they left the dream.
They took it home that night, and immediately began working on it. They'd been hoping to find a better way to store their nightmares for awhile. The pesty dreams, usually taking the form of a thick and drippy vapor, were a pain to control. They melted through the glass jars Azzie had been previously using in a matter of hours, and left smoking drips of liquid wherever they moved. The camera, after quite some tinkering, quickly become the perfect solution.
The polaroid takes instant photos that are not just stills of the dream, but the entire dream itself. To the untrained eye the photos appear to be normal polaroids, a single snapshot in time, but Azzie knows better. They can view the dreams through the images, immersing themselves completely within the nightmare. Each one is it's own story, not unlike a mini-movie, something Azzie can observe over and over again.
Azzie has thousands of these pictures, stored away in their home. They do their best to protect the photos, storing them in sleeves and waterproof containers, in an attempt to keep them in perfect condition. Azzie has hundreds of filled albums within their home, on shelves, in stacks, scattered across the floor, wherever there is room. Many of the photos, Azzie's favorites in particular, are posted to the walls, either stuck up with thumbstacks or on a string ling for easy access. Some do get folded or damaged, often impacting the quality of the nightmare, and some will even fade, causing the dream to fade, but Azzie does their best to avoid that.
They prefer using black and white film, as it gives all of the nightmares a slightly eerier feeling, but uses anything they can get. Azzie hoards and stores these nightmares, keeping them to themself and viewing them whenever the mood strikes them.
