Love story: A little bit of a WIP lore between my two fables, Lune and Rufus! (let me know what you think?..)
Rufus' life went downhill when his herd rejected him upon contacting a curse made him eat meat like predators do, and although he later found a new home with friends who accepted him just the way he was, his heart remained closed from all the bitter treatment his old herd have given him in the past. But that changed when Lune, a quiet and aloof fable had come to the enchanted forest. A moon deity for miniscule critters like ants, Lune seemed distant from the deerkind and more involved with the miniature world, but something in their silent and serene demeanor had immediately struck Rufus. He felt more at peace with Lune than he did with anyone else from the herd, and sought to befriend them at first. Lune, who never had lots of interactions with other fables before, surprisingly for themselves also found feeling comfortable in Rufus' company, and even observing him hunting never made them feel bad - before long, the two started seeking each other's company, and spending their nights walking through the sleeping forest, not talking or doing anything in particular, simply being there for one another. One lonely heart that found another lonely heart. The Wolf and The Moon.
