Their previous family adopted them from a friend, having been unable to keep up with the task of having a big dog. However, the family took notice that they seem rather sad. No matter what they tried, from treats to training, they couldn't get the big dog to cheer up. Brokenhearted, they ended up surrendering them to us in hopes they will find a home that suits them much better.

Prompt: Thunder was a closed off fortress of stoicism and icy walls when he was first brought home and introduced to everyone - a loving husband and wife pair combined with two cats. He settled in with little issue, but still remained reserved and just wanted to do his own thing, the cats finally got over the fear of him and both parties seemed content to just exist separately from each other. It seemed like family life wasn't meant for him, he spent most of his time just laying down in the grass outside and watching life pass him by. The woman was pregnant, and soon after Thunder settled in, she gave birth and a brand new baby girl was brought home. Thunder was shortly introduced to the tiny infant, the newborn barely the size of his muzzle or one of his paws, his black nose pressing against the babe's tiny cropping of blonde hair and face, the cool feeling of it and puffing oxygen on the young one caused her to giggle, her hands flailing against his fur, fingers curling into soft fur. From that moment on Thunder and the newborn were inseparable, the huge dog never leaves her side and has perked up a bit to show his silly side while playing with her. He's turned into a total cuddle bug and lap dog, and is truly one of the family now.

There's drool streaks all down the back windows, and Regent will often request car rides himself now, even waking his owners up late at night when he feels he needs one. It's not uncommon for their neighbors to see them doing circles around the block with him hanging out the back windows.

It took discovering dog sports together with her new owner for Raven to truly open up and flourish, she's been conditioned out of energetic behaviors because of the concerns that come along with a big dog. She used to drag her owners on walks, and even scared company or other owners at the dog park because of how eager she was, because of that she was trained to always hold back and didn't embrace her natural inclination to athleticism. However unusual it seems, she really just needed a true outlet, and lazing around most of the time was unsatisfying so she grew discontent the longer it went on. It was a friend's suggestion to try dog sports, and even though there was a long period of training she didn't particularly like or take interest in, the second Raven was harnessed for their first training run it was love. She might not be a Bikejoring champion in anyone's heart but hers and her owner's, but pulling brings Raven all the joy in the world!

Prompt: Voila moved in with a foster family in hope that staying out of the shelter setting would be better for her. The fosterers worked hard to motivate Voila and did what they could to take her to a variety of different activities with different members of their family as well as their other dogs. While she was taken along to their own dog's agility classes, she showed no interest and due to her size, they wouldn't have wanted her joints impacted by the jumps, so they introduced her to Hoopers. While Voila did as instructed, she wasn't exactly enthusiastic. She was taken on hikes, where she trailed along behind with the slowest member of the family. It was only when she was taken to watch their son play football that she suddenly perked up and, much to their surprise, sprinted onto the children's pitch after the ball. As well as the ball, she loved being doted on by the group of young kids that ran after her across the field as she fled with the ball. Inevitably she was caught, but the ball was damaged and all the kids took turns being slobbered on by the lump herself. Voila loves those kids, almost as much as she loves football.

Prompt: Sable's new owners also had the big problem of very sad pup on their hands, They started trying anything and everything to get him to stop being so sad but it wasn't until they, out of pure desperation, put him in their hammock. It was like magic, once they got his big self into it, he just melted his tail finally wagging and he perked right up. Turns out that he loves being held, but since he's as big as he is no one can feasibly hold him without risking hurting themselves, so now Sable get's hammock time everyday so he can feel like he's being held without anyone in risk of getting hurt.
