Rift has a weird obsession about collecting anything monster like, plushies, toys, figurines, book pages or books - He can't read but he likes the pictures! He likes to think that he is bigger and scarier than he actually is in reality. He probably imagines himself to be, idk, some kind of awkward baby version of.. some big creature,, insert fantasy monsters here type of thing or a large breed like a black shuck or an adjule or such, especially with the way he stalks around in the dark nights with only his bright eyes to be visible. He also likes to watch classic monster movies with an unsettling human-like interest. There's just.. something so uncanny, and disturbing about the way that he just sits there... and stares at the screen.. Statue like, and not blinking. Makes you wonder if he really is an axehandle or something entirely else pretending to be one. Is he an escaped hellhound???? A mimic???? Oddly enough this is the only, and most not-normal thing about Rift.

But in terms of wood collection he is PARTICULARLY fascinated with walnut wood and it's shades and smells, He can identify any walnut wood matter, if he owns it or if it's new and if it's delicious smellin. It's like his eyes just comepltely glaze over, you would think it's Rift's equivalent of cat nip. If you're ever looking for this specific wood type, just make sure to bring Rift with you, and he'll track it down for you no problem, especially if he has smell catalogged a large range of it.
