Resolutions
1: Graduate University
I've had a very rocky time with post-secondary schooling. I won't get into the details, but I will say that I'm currently taking 3 years longer than average to complete my program. I'm determined to not have it stretch into a another academic year! Due to my unconventional compeltion, this involves a lot of paperwork and writing letters to a lot of very important people which is very scary. But. I will do it! I want to complete my drafts by the middle of January so I can get the ball rolling before my anxiety ruins this for me.

2: Finish a Physical Project
I have a train-load of artistic hobbies that I cycle through regularily. Miniature painting, needle felting, sewing, scultpting, screen printing, 3d printing; you name it, I've probably done it. The problem is I cycle between them before I actually finish what I'm working on. I have 6 projects right now that are partially completed and a bunch more in planning stage. I'm going to set the bar low and finish at least one before I let myself start something new. It might not seem like a lot, but the last time I fully finished a personal project was... 2018. I've already chosen which one and even set aside a day each week where I work on that project. So. Fingers crossed!

3: Improve My Physical Health
I'm a couch potato. I doubt I'll ever be able to fully change that. However, I'm also fortunate enough to have my own source of income, which means I can horseback ride for the first time in a decade. And I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, even riding just once a week is absolutley wrecking me. I want to keep being able to ride and I want to do it safely. So, working on physical fitness. I'm going to start small, focusing on cardio and some calisthetic excercises my riding coach has reccommended to me. I struggle with going to the gym, so I'll be doing exercises I can do at home or at work. Waiting for the kettle to boil? Time for some squats. Waiting for the printer at work? Arm stretches. My cat wants to play? I'm going to actually get up and move around instead of just playing from the couch. Walking to the grocery store with a little grocery trolley instead of a car. Biking or busing to work. Just small things I can integrate into my life to hopefully be able to ride more and more.

There may be sudden bouts of prolonged inactivity. If I take longer than a week to get back to you about something, please send me a PM with a reminder!

Resolutions
1: Take time for myself.
I plan on doing so via the means of distancing myself from technology and a portion of my overwork, hence reading more often and reminding myself that I am alive, and that by being alive, my experience on this earth is an ephemeral one. Living a short life without living for yourself is a foolish one, foolish to waste on mindless acts strove for the dopamine of online fixations or other people's expectations.

2: Take care of myself.
While I often struggle with taking care of myself, in consequence of both my work and the manner in which I was reared, I plan on studying recipes for healthy foods and methods for sleep in an endeavor to steer myself into a healthier/presumably happier life.

3: Overcome my inability to express emotions properly, in terms of relationships and socialization.
I am rather unsure on how I will do go about achieving this, as I have been unable to express my emotions for the majority of my life, and I am uncertain if I can simply "get over it" with acts alone. However, I'm assuming that I can get more comfortable with the notion of exposing myself via sharing things about my day with those I care for, or with therapy - which is too expensive to be my first option.

Resolutions Most of these goals are related to being a parent, so I'm involved but they aren't just about me.
1: I had my second baby a few days before Christmas, so I am hoping for a wonderful first year with a new addition to our family. The timing was a bit stressful having a newborn over the holidays, especially since daycare was closed for the older child. Even though the baby is still pretty young, we need to start sleep training since the night and days are mixed up. The plan is to have baby more awake during the day so there is more sleeping at night.
2: The older child is potty training. This can be a frustrating process. The child wants to use the toilet and enjoys going, but doesn't always understand when needing to potty. There have been a lot of accidents everywhere in the house or out at a play place. Trying to keep an eye on the child is tough, especially with a newborn in the mix now. Being patient is really all we can do and keep enforcing to use the toilet by communicating potty time.
3: Something I really want to get done while on maternity leave is get the house in order! There are draws and spaces around the house that have become "storage bins" of random items or things I don't know what to do with that can most likely just be pitched. The pantry could also use a look through to rid expired or unwanted food. Hopefully I can get this done during winter while stuck inside. Process will be one room at a time not to overwhelm myself with cleaning.

1: Find out whats wrong with me and fix it (I am sick with an unknown illness and have been for a while now)
2: Start streaming again (the sickness has pushed me away from it)
3: Save money for things I really want rather than going "ooh shiny" when the bestie wife has comms open or something like that
Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.

1: Find my motivation again. I havent done art in over a year and thats completely unheard of for me. I used to do art Every Single Day. Thats not who i am, i need to find myself again.
2: Lose weight. The loss of motivation extended to my movement habits, i feel no need to get up and walk around, to run with my dogs, to do much more than play video games and do things on my laptop.
3: Fall back in love with myself. Ive realized over time that i really do not like Me. I did before we moved but my life was thrown around and i dont feel. Safe. Comfortable. Like Myself. Im aiming to begin the steps to find Me again, find my motivation, and interact with the world again.

1: Get into grad school - I'm in the process of applying and it's all very nerve-wreaking because I haven't been able to really work on a good portfolio due to the industry and personal concerns. I'm trying my best, but I can't help but feel behind. Being accepted into grad school would really help boost my confidence and get me the connections I need to keep getting better jobs.
2: Organize my adopts/ flesh out the world I'm building around them - I have many ideas about the organization and exploration of all the adopts I own. I need to set a little time maybe each week to chip away at all the data and images. Since I plan on using Toyhouse as a main storage source, I'll be learning a lot about HTML coding, which has been a roadblock for me all this time.
3: Acquire a drawing tablet - Another aspect of fleshing out worlds is I want to draw the backgrounds and even some of my own characters. I'm figuring out which programs I like using and am still working out which kind of drawing implement I'm most comfortable with. My drawing skills have always been just good enough for me, but I really want to get better and that means more practice! Having a tool that I want to use [unlike drawing with a mouse] will motivate me to draw more frequently
