Skeletal Galingale Striders used to only be known by the word of the superstitious. Tales of creatures sent from the underworld roamed the marshes and dark mountains, taking the lives of those who foolishly entered. The legends said the creatures would wait in the thick fog, screaming, pretending to be trapped in the mud. By the time their victim was close enough to see the hairless animal, with it's bones blocking the light from beneath it's skin, it was too late. Snatched away, the Strider would drag them into the bog burring them alive in the thick mud only to return when hunger pained it's stomach.
It is believed their appearance struck fear in those from long ago as they believed seeing one was a bad omen and death was upon the people. This lead a mass hunt to eradicate the entire species, to be sure of humanity's survival. After thousands of years of only paintings and stories to tell us about this mysterious sub-species, we now know these creatures do exist and are not malicious as the stories say.
These Strider's are the tallest out of all the sub-species and have transparent skin which reveals their bones. They have no fur, instead they have a fine layer of peach fuzz that makes their skin soft to the touch. They have developed this way due to the lack of sunlight in their environment. The dark mountains only receive the light from the moon reflecting off the rocks and the marshes are so thick with tree's and fog, fireflies can barely be seen. These Striders often take refuge deep within caves inside the mountains and do not crave the flesh of man. They much prefer glowing grubs, mosses, and carrion. Though they are not necessarily aggressive, they are very wary of people and if threatened will fight to the death. They are not a tame species and very difficult to find but those who have managed to bond with them have a very loyal companion.
We hope with time more of these species will reveal themselves but they have only been seen around the time of Halloween. Best of luck to you all who wish to train one of these marvelous creatures.

Welcome to the Hallowed Moons Event! A new species of Striders has emerged from the fog, ready to be tamed. During this event you have the chance to win one of these new sub-species! Fallow the information below on how to get involved with this event!
This event will last from October 1st - October 31st, 2024.

How to Apply---------------
There are two different competitions happening during this month.
• Post daily with "Trick" or "Treat", you may only choose 1 a day. Both have their own reward system of points and tickets, but I do warn you, the choices you make could highly reward you or punish you... at the end of every week, staff will inform you of the collected points you earned and post them on the main page. Posting will close on October 31st [Halloween].
A group of Striders, shrouded by fog have be created to reward all those who competed. At the end of the competition, participants will be ranked based on the points they’ve earned throughout the event. The participant with the highest points will get to choose their mystery Strider first. The next highest scorer will choose their Strider next, and this will continue down the list until all Striders have been selected. If more Striders have been created than contestants then we will begin again from the top of the ranking. The amount of times we will rotate through the list will depend on the amount of contestants and adopts. The rest of the Striders will be posted up for adoption after October 31st. All Striders will remain a mystery until chosen.
• Three challenges will be posted within this category.
1. Halloween Art of our Hallowed Moons Event Mascot.
2. Spooky Story or Comic and
3. Costume Design for one of your Striders. In these competitions you will be submitting your pieces on their designated forms and the community will be voting on their favorites! You may apply to all 3 categories but submit only 1 entry. The top 3 winners from each category will be given a variety of tickets including an
EVENT CUSTOM! Anyone who completes any piece will be rewarded their choice between a training or breeding ticket. Winners will be chosen on October 31st.
