Naming this boy Quilius!

Tier 1 Training

Personality: Quil considers himself a protector, to ensure others safety. He understands the roles in a herd and sticks to the pecking order of things. If someone is acting out, he steps in to resolve the issue.Quil enjoys massages and pampering, as if he's getting a spa treatment.

Like / Dislike: ♥ Pomegranate, swimming, sleeping, grooming, and lizards.
✘ Fighting, snacks, bees, winter, and pineapple.

First training experience: When Quil first started his training to become a police strider, he wasn't sure what to expect. The environment was different from the pastures he was used to. Initially, things were overwhelming. The sirens, honking cars, and bustling crowds felt unnatural and a bit frightening. But his handlers were patient. They talked to him in soothing tones, gave clear commands, and never rushed him into anything he wasn’t ready for. They used treats and gentle pats to reassure Quil, which helped him learn that these new experiences weren't threats but part of a new job. One of the first things Quil had to get used to was wearing new equipment. The uniform felt strange, and the headgear was a bit snug. But it was all designed to be comfortable once he got used to it. His training involved a lot of different exercises. Walking through crowds was challenging at first; there's so much movement, and it was easy to get distracted. But his handler taught him to stay focused and calm, even when people tried to pet or take pictures. He did a lot of drills in controlled environments before heading out to real events. He also practiced dealing with emergencies. Sirens and flashing lights were part of this, and at first, his instinct was to shy away. But the repeated exposure, combined with positive reinforcement, helped him stay calm in those situations.
