A Plate Dragon is a subspecies of dragon! They have "Plates" on the side of their cheeks and on their butts! They also have scales around their bodies such as on their faces, legs, and tail! Another unique feature are the "spikes" on the end of their tails and horns that can range in many different shapes and sizes that are used for protection and battle. They usually live in jungles or forests but can be found anywhere. They are extremely venomous, and can projectile their venom when in danger! They use this tactic when feeling threatened or scared so as long as you have good intentions they wont hurt you! They are feisty but you'll be lucky to have one as your friend if it gives you its trust!

Prompt: Neo is definitely a little intimidated ! This pd has lots of manners, and is incredibly polite, which contrasts neos rough and fun personality a bit. Though he does go over and chat! He’s soft spoken, but also clearly not a pushover, though he does have a bit of a hard time starting conversations. talking about his interests is a shock to Neo as he really likes stuff similar to him ! (Rock music especially) by the time they finish chatting Neo can safely say they are friends !
(This pd reminds me a bit of my partner so a bit of that is coming out here ^^ )

Prompt: Enoch would be startled by the sheer brightness of this PD, from his flapping wings to his glittering plates. The stranger's radiant smile makes him feel shy suddenly, at such a vibrant figure. But the other PD's ruffled feathers and jittery movements betray his own nerves, which soothe Enoch. Maybe they are both nervous at meeting someone new after all? Enoch gives the bright PD a small smile, and gestures him closer with a tail swish. Becoming friends with such a vibrant and lovely PD would be wonderful, even if they so contrast his own sullen self. Maybe some of that light can shine on him as well.

Cloudchaser is not afraid of talking to strangers at all, easily one of the most confident and friendly dragons in the room. When she sees anyone standing on their own, she feels compelled to go and talk to them. So, seeing this golden dragon by himself, she can't help but walk up to him. "Wow, look at you!" she remarks, gazing at his glittering gold plates, "Heh, I bet I can guess your favorite color."
This catches him off guard- he wasn't expecting someone to open a conversation like that, not at a fancy event like a gala. "...Oh?"
"Don't believe me? That's fine. But if I guess it right, you owe me a dance! Deal?"
He didn't have anything to lose, so why not? "Deal."
Cloudchaser looked him up and down. She was going to say gold, just to be funny, but she actually wanted to guess the right answer. "Hmm..." she narrowed her eyes in concentration, "Is it.. burgundy? Like, a dark red?"
His face is all the confirmation she needed- he looked totally shocked. "That's- How did you know that?"
"A lady never tells," she giggled. "Now about that dance..."

Enke is not exactly one for social interaction. The other partygoers seem to understand that fact as well as him, so he's a little stunned when a white and gold Plate Dragon walks up to him, seemingly either unbothered by or ignorant to this fact. He expects the other Plate Dragon to try and talk to him, but instead they just sit next to him with their drink and take a sip. He stares, a little baffled and questioning why they're here, but they don't make a move to say or do anything. Just sit next to him in silence. Their eyes glance about the rest of the party, and Enke can't quite determine exactly what they're even looking at in the first place.

After enough waiting that he begins to feel uncomfortable, the other Plate Dragon's eyes finally glance at him. The look is brief, but yet he still feels like he's being examined closely, like some sort of bug under a magnifying glass. They give a thoughtful hum, before their eyes turn back to the room. "Silence is a virtue. You're good at it." The words stun Enke for a moment, and he can't tell if they meant it as a compliment or not. "...Why are you here?" He asks, shuffling on his paws nervously. The presence of the other Plate Dragon makes him nervous, and he's hoping that they might leave soon. They don't even spare him a glance as they answer. "Watching the others." There's a pause, and Enke doesn't think they're going to continue for a moment, but their voice rings out again shortly after. "One can see many kinds of Plate Dragons in a place like this. They all act differently."

Now, they're looking at him again. "It's intriguing to see. How their different personalities decide what they do here. Some eager to join in and socialize, some who would rather not." They gesture vaguely towards him at that last point, and he shrinks back a little. "But I'm sure that's not what you meant by your question, is it?" They give him a knowing look, and he gapes a little. He kind of thought they were just ignoring the fact they were making him uncomfortable, but they definitely know. He's not sure how to feel about that. A little frustrated, really. Couldn't they just leave if they knew that?

"I find those who keep to themselves far more interesting than those who put themselves on display for all to see." They finally answer what he actually meant by the question, turning their eyes away from him. "I suppose because I'm rather like that as well. Aloof, you could say." Enke squints a little. "But- why me? Aren't there plenty of other, er, corner dwellers to talk to?" That gets the other Plate Dragon to chuckle warmly, a noise that's surprisingly comforting despite their overall off-putting nature. "That's true. But I can tell there's more to your aversion of others than just being introverted." He blinks in surprise. "Wh- How did you-?"

"I know what it looks like. That distrust of others." They say, tone suddenly somber. "Something's happened to you." He flinches, eyes casting downwards, and if it had been phrased as a question that would've been all the answer they needed. But they already knew, anyways. They take a breath, and their eyes turn back to him. "All light casts a shadow. Don't focus so much on the fact that there is a shadow that you forget the light is there." And with that, they sit up, and begin to leave.

He stammers for a moment, baffled at the fact he just got given solid life advice and then they're just going to leave? "W-Wait! Where are you going?" They pause in their movements for a moment to look back at him. "What? I thought you wanted me to leave." They say, though the statement seems oddly fond rather than actually hurt over the notion. "I- Well- That's... A little blunt but, yeah, I guess..." He mutters, rubbing a leg with one of his paws. They give a quiet hum, then turn away again. "I don't even know your name!" Enke blurts out before they can actually make a move to leave, and this time they fully turn around to face him, quirking an eyebrow. "My name is of no importance." They say, the words sounding faintly sad. "See you around."

"How do you even know we'll see each other again?" He can't help but ask, and they just smile at him. "I'm sure we will." And then they turn around and walk away. They're gone now, nowhere in sight, and he stumbles back to his corner, thoroughly confused, thinking about everything they've said. It was kind of scary, how they could just read him like a book. Maybe he's more obvious than he thought.

...Don't get so caught up in the shadow that you forget about the light, huh? Maybe he should take their words into consideration.

"Asher Violette. Yes yes, everyone knows by now. Well, anyone with ears. You're very loud. ...What do you want?" The white plate dragon bore a bored look at her, a long-suffering expression.

"I'm here to make friends! What's your name? Have any good stories? What do you do for a living? Where do you come fr-" She stopped, only as a paw was raised for her companion.

"None. Of. Your. Business. None of it. I am here with a purpose, and I will not be deterred from it with your... shenanigans." Asher Violette tilted her head, confused.

"But this is a gala! We're here to have fun, make friends, eat and drink new things! Yet here you are acting like it's a job and..." A rare toothy grin met her, as with a light gesture her companion gestured to a tag that read 'Zariel: Security.' "Ooooooh. Fun! I bet you have loyts of cool stories from your job! Would you like some punch? I can get you one. OH! How about some snackies? The finger sandwiches are diviiiine!"

Prompt: Rei was still standing anxiously in one of the corners of the room, occasionally nodding along with a song that had a good beat, and eating various candy from the snack table. Despite wanting to make new friends, the plate dragon was not much closer to working up the courage to start a conversation with anyone than at the start. Fortunately, Rei was spared from having to do so as another plate dragon walked over, waving slightly.
"Hey. Do you mind if I hang out around here too? I have already nearly collided with five different plate dragons who were dancing, and I just want to drink my punch in peace." The plate dragon explained, looking nearly as anxious as Rei felt.
"Oh, of course you can," Rei replied.
"Cool, thanks." Taking a long sip of punch, the other plate dragon turned back to watch the other party-goers. The two stood there in silence for a bit, until the angelic-looking plate dragon eventually spoke up again. "It's definitely calmer over here. I know this is a party and all, but I suppose I was not quite prepared for so much noise, and so many near-collisions with the other guests."
Rei couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Yeah... I was taken by surprise too. I got kind of overwhelmed, if I am being honest... That's why I was in this corner to begin with."
"Hey, I don't blame you. I came over here too, didn't I?" The other plate dragon smirked. "It's rather funny, I came here to try to make some new friends, but things are just so crowded here, that it is difficult to actually approach any of these groups of plate dragons and actually make friends. Well, for me, anyway."
"Me too," Rei agreed. It surprised Rei to learn that someone else shared those same feelings about the party. After all, a party was supposed to be a great way to meet new people, so it sounded like it would make finding new friends easier, but it had actually been just the opposite-
"Hmm. Well then... Friends?"
Rei looked at the plate dragon in surprise for a moment, before smiling. "Friends."
Maybe a party wasn't such a bad place to try to make friends, after all.

Prompt: Disco half-runs, half-slides up to the angelic dragon. “Hey! Hi! Oh my GOSH you look SO sick, man, wow! are you like, a real Angel?? Can you fly or are those wings like, just for show??-“ they kept chattering away excitedly, asking questions without giving the stranger any chance to answer. They were skating around him, inspecting him from every angle and gushing. He raised an eyebrow and stopped them with a gentle paw to the shoulder. Disco stopped and blushed. “Ah. Sorry! Man, I just get so excited meeting new people!! I’m uh, I’m disco! It’s great to meet you!” They grinned, tossing their hair out of their face. The strange dragon paused, and then smiled. He studied their face for a moment, and then tapped one of his ears. deaf, me he signed slowly. Disco blinked a couple times, and then gasped. Clumsily, they locked their skates and slowly paw-spelled back to him. D-I-S-C-O, me. He grinned, proud of himself, and the stranger laughed. He fixed disco with a warm smile and spelled out his own name, C-A-E-L. Disco blushed and smiled back, softer this time. “Cael,” they tried the name, “Dance with me?” They gestured to the dance floor and Cael grinned, nodding and offering Disco his paw. Giggling, Disco took it, and the two meandered onto the dance floor together.
