◇ | a strong breeze blows the note away from your hands, drifting through the air until it lands softly on the worn roof a house. "GO AWAY" a voice shouts from the roof as you look up and see 4 sets of eyes glaring back at you. you become worried for a second before the figures reveal themselves to be teacups. sets of red, blue and green eyes glare back at you as the teacups jump off the roof and land in front of you. they would be intimidating if not for their size. "your not supposed to be here!" one shouts, baring their teeth in a snarl. "go away from our home, all you guys are the same!" another shouts, wings fluffed in anger. "you always take and never give!" the final two shout in unison.

◇ | trying to diffuse the situation you explain that you came here to solve the mystery of a strange curse that has been plaguing the town. the teacups look at you angrily before the teacup with red eyes sighs and motions for you to follow them. you follow them through town, up the hill and into the old mine shaft. you begin to shiver as your hands become cold as you follow the four teacups deeper in the cave. at somepoint you begin to see glowing crystals dot the cavern, and you wonder if your going the wrong way.

◇ | soon your enter a pitch black cavern with orange and silver crystals. and see two other teacups sitting on ledges looking at you....

Tales tell that a pack of Jewel Eaters ravaged many homes, and taken many things. Lives were lost and many simas were injured. These Jewel Eaters were apprehended by Nekros and punished for their crimes. Two of these Jewel Eaters were apprehended, and then released, finding their new leases on life. But the final of the trio was kept in purgatory by Nekros, deeming their crimes to heinous to allow them redemption. Many years passed, and the final Jewel Eater was given one final chance. Nekros split the Teacup into two: one harboring the Jewel Eaters ill-will towards sima kind and the other who held the once lost contempt for living as they are. Dubbing them Midas of Gold and Hermes of Silver. Unbeknownst to Nekros, that old habits die hard. Both Midas and Hermes escaped and returned to the surface, only to set up shop in an old mining town. A town with nothing left, and despair ravaging those left behind. Midas separated themself from Hermes and sought to turn the villagers into an army worth combatting a god. Midas was the sima that created the curse, unable to turn these simas into their own image, and set about wanting to terrorize the world again. Midas was completely unwilling to make up for what they and done, with their long-buried empathy turned into a copy of themself, they had no one to hold them back. Unfortunately, while Hermes is not malicious by nature, Midas didn't account for them to be working against them. Hermes sought to reverse the curse caused by Midas, desperately hoping to change the other teacup's mind. and thus, managed to chase Midas into the mine during the day, while Midas accelerated the curse during the night. Unfortunately, the townsfolk became distrustful of them both and Hermes found that they may need more help setting this straight. And maybe persuade that Deity to give them both a third chance.

Midas is the original mastermind behind both the curse AND the leader of the crew of Jewel eaters that terrorized many simas before being apprehended by Nekros. Upon being completely unwilling to make up for what they had done, Nekros decided to try and make Midas’ hidden good personality come to the forefront. But ended up accidentally splitting this teacup into two simas. Midas embodies the original sima’s distaste for the hate and fear jewel eaters receive, and is spreading the curse to the village in the night.

Hermes is the other half of midas, and embodies the quiet kit who once had no hate for others and simply wanted to befriend anyone they met. Hermes feel great shame for what Midas is doing to the villagers and is trying their best to stop the curse from spreading, during the day. While they may be trying to stop the curse from spreading, they are noticing that others are beginning to be distrustful of him.

wip! would attempt to be more subtle and sneaky about their
nefarious tendencies and pretend to be a Nice Goodboy Who's
Turned Themselves Around but eventually realize hey, trusting
and being able to rely on people is good, and they'd slowly stop
pretending and start doing it in earnest.

wip! Argentum believes that there's no such thing as
actions that are bad solely because of intent. Even if
someone is doing something for nefarious purposes, if
their actions have a good effect on others, then... aren't
those actions still good, kind of? Of course, it hasn't always
felt that way, but... Well, call it something of a revelation
it had after the two of them had split.

He won't.
Before the great split ordered by Nekros there may
have been hope for redemption for Judas but that
flicker is gone now. At first Judas despised his
brother. His twin, who reminded him of his own
weekness and of the nieve kit he used to be. Over
time a warmth starts to grow in Judas, a feeling he
hasn't felt in a long time. As much as he tries to
suppress it he can't help but feel a deep and
borderline obsessive love for his other half. Then
love turns to hunger and Judas comes to realize
that the only way he will ever feel whole again is to
destroy the only part of himself worth saving. He
begins to distance himself from his home and crew.
He embraces the darkness inside himself,
becoming the monster everyone has always seen
in him. And he watches. From the shadows he
watches over his brother, never allowing himself
to get to close.
