White Markings-Brockling-Will cause large spots to interrupt the white areas of the coat no the face, primarily around eyes and nose! Sometimes in super rare causes it will cause large spot break through on the body too!Bcbc ->

Roan-Causes white flecks with in the coat in certain areas wash out the color, Hetro. will only cause a lightening of the coat like someone covered the cow in flour more prominent on the haunches but will also lighten the rest of the coat minimally. While RR will cause a much more exaggerated variation that will leave color prominently only on the legs and face and be accompanied by white markings.

XDun/Dilution GenesAll of these genes can cause lightening of the coat or Dun. To show a cow is not affected by that dun gene simply list (dd), Also if a cow has 2 or 3 D Genes (Exp. Dsds & Dhdh) It will not express both/all (making the coat super light) if both/all are Het. or homo it will present as the first one seen in the geno (Going back to Exp. it would be Dsds) But if one is Het. and one is Homo. it will present as the Homo.
But say if the cow is (Ed_/Dsds/Dndn/DhDh) you can forget about the Dn as it is hetro and does not affect a black cow enough to make a difference, but if it is red you must remember that the rule above counts.
