As a wild mare, food was always scarce for Nike, she had to forage and do so quickly, as the risk of predators or other wild horses was always high, the most delicious thing she had ever tasted then was some sweet, lush grass that the morming dew had misted, though she couldn't stay there to graze much longer.

That was the beginning of Nike's sweet tooth, which would only grow once she found herself at a mustang ranch and then at Polar North, where she would receive her new favorite treat for the very first time.

She had finished her first trail ride with her new handler without rearing or running, she had been taken to the pastures to relax for a while and began to turn around to go spend time roaming with the other horses, when she heard someone call her name.

Nike turned around and was presented with a shiny, red, oddly shaped ball that had a sweet smell faintly wafting through her nostrils.

Nike took it between her teeth gently, and as soon as she took a bite she realized that it was the most delicious thing she had ever eaten, a red delicious apple, cored and being given to her as a treat for doing so well.

Ever since then, Nike has loved apples but most especially the red ones, and will do almost anything to receive one.
