Malibu stalks through the woods, she is determined. With every crunch of her multicolored paws on the crisp, autumn leaves she keeps her head up high, hoping.

She hasn’t been to this area in years, she fears how it has changed. Malibu is afraid of what she doesn’t know and it scares her. She shakes her head, she can’t Psyche herself out know she’s too close!

Her leisurely stroll turns into a run, she’s galloping through the woods, the leaves flowing as dust behind her. She’s so close. She can’t give up she can’t she can’t! She leaps over logs with tears streaking her face, she didn’t know she had been crying.

She slows down, her paws touch her face, when had she started crying? Malibu makes a strangled noise in her throat, and lays her head in her paws. Will he even want to see her again? What if he hates her? Malibu’s thoughts run rampant in her head, making her spiral even more. It’s been a good 3 years, yet it feels like and eternity and she hates it, she hates being separated from him, from Bluebird, from all her friends. She sniffs, it’s a strangled sound full of pain. She decides to wait another day.
