arcanthera nursery

hello, this is where you can breed your arcanthera! there are two types of breedings (with separate cooldowns).

IC stands for 'in-character'.
the cooldown for IC breedings is 2 weeks.
IC breedings require either a 500 word piece of writing of the couple, or a colored, fullbody art piece of the couple.
to order IC breedings, wait for an artist to open nursery slots. upon opening slots, you may fill out the IC breeding form to enter for a possibility to get a breeding.
if accepted, wait for the artist to complete your breeding. upon the posting of the litter, your IC cooldown begins.

OOC stands for 'out-of-character'.
the cooldown for OOC breedings is 1 month.
OOC breedings do not require canon creative material to be done.
to order OOC breedings, wait for an artist to open nursery slots. upon opening slots, you may fill out the OOC breeding form to enter for a possibility to get a breeding.
if accepted, wait for the artist to complete your breeding. upon the posting of the litter, your OOC cooldown begins.

rules
01. do not beg for artists to open slots. always remain polite.
02. arcanthera have 4 breeding slots and can have up to 4 in a litter.
03. you must own an arcanthera for 1 week before they can be bred.
04. at the moment, up to two arcanthera can be bred together.
05. it takes 3 weeks for an arcanthera to grow.
06. to grow an arcanthera, you may hire an artist to draw the growth in the growth thread (this may be a paid service or free depending on the artist you ask). you may also grow an arcanthera yourself. further rules on growths will be on the growth thread.

26-50 - 2 cubs
51-75 - 3 cubs
76-100 - 4 cubs

2-user breeding
1-50 - 2 cubs
51-75 - 3 cubs
76-100 4 cubs

when breeding two of arcanthera of the same subspecies (monotypic breeding)
100% the subspecies of the parents

when breeding two arcanthera of two different subspecies (hybrid breeding)
100% hybrid of the two subspecies

when breeding two arcanthera that in-lore are in a universe outside the land arcana (panneutroid breeding)
100% panneutroid

when breeding one fullblood and one hybrid (monohybrid cross)
100% hybrid
1/2 the subspecies of the fullblood x 1/2 50% chance of either subspecies of the hybrid

when breeding two hybrids (dihybrid cross)
roll twice
first roll:
1-50 first subspecies of first parent
51-100 second subspecies of first parent
second roll:
1-50 first subspecies of second parent
51-100 second subspecies of second parent
1/2 first roll subspecies x 1/2 second roll subspecies

passive ability
with passive ability x with passive ability = 100% passive passes
with passive ability x non-carrier = 100% carrier
with passive ability x carrier = 50% chance passes, 50% carrier

simple mods
lacking the simple body region mod x parent with the simple mod = 50% chance of passing
parent with the simple mod x parent with the same simple mod = 100% chance of passing

moderate mods
lacking the moderate body region mod x parent with the moderate mod = 30% chance of passing

complex mods
lacking the complex body region mod x parent with the complex mod = 10% chance of passing
parent with the complex mod x parent with the same complex mod = 60% chance of passing

special lineart
(roll for this before the mods above, if special lineart passes, don't roll for the rest of the mods for that cub - the artist can adapt whatever body modifications as they please on either of their designs as they please)
(if special lineart does not pass, approximate the edit locations on the special lineart parent and roll the mods as normal)

on-base x custom lineart = 10% chance of passing
custom lineart x custom lineart = 40% chance of passing
