The Tattered Cloth wasn't originally meant to be a headband. Kane grew up with his mother and two siblings, in a small village by a river. As the oldest sibling, Kane knew that one day, he wanted to go fight for the king, he wanted to protect his siblings, his family, and everything his country had. He wanted to do something for his country. The draft to the royal guard came by his village when he was around 19, and his mother begged him to stay. A week went by slowly, Kane asking every day to be allowed to volunteer for the guard. Finally, on the last day, Kane's hope was lost. His mother wouldn't let him go. His only chance was to be randomly chosen for the draft. On the last day, Kane was drafted. Sobbing, his mother agreed to let him go, making him promise he would visit and come back when he had the chance. He cried with her and agreed to do so, grabbing onto her red scarf so tightly that he accidentally ripped a piece off. Kane gasped and apologized over and over.
"Don't be sorry, my dear.. keep it with you, keep a piece of me with you. Remember me, my darling child," she said, as she tied the ripped piece around his hair, wiping his tears.
And he did.

it was a gift, but admir loves to use this hairclip + sword/dagger hair pin/stick duo to make sure that his bangs don't fall back in front of his eyes...at first it started with teh hairclip, but that didn't help with much his problem as he was still clipping his hair back multiple times a day...but then he was gifted a hair stick that kept more hair in place...and so far it has been working. And don't worry! The hairstick doesn't go through his head, silly, it pokes out, outside of his hair. Its quite painless.
