    Galingale Name: Maukov
    Training Tier -
    Word Count 338

Maukov was born to a wild herd, thriving in a mountain valley. He was the first Galingale to be born in this herd, and so he was heavily protected by those who loved him. The herd roamed near a small village, one that celebrated his birth just as his herd had. Despite being wild, his heard was very friendly with the human village due to how friendly they were in return. It was this village that helped the herd begin and grow here, and so they didn't hesitate to show their appreciation to the humans from time to time. One day while Maukov was frolicking through the valley, a human not from the area saw him rushing and playing in the tall grass. The human watched him as he ventured farther from the herd, completely unaware that a human was so close to the edge of their valley. The village people didn't travel this close to the herd's home, knowing that they were to be respected if they wanted to continue the relationship they had with them. As this stranger came closer, invading their land, one could see a rope in his hand ready to capture Maukov. The herd started to raise their heads from their grazing after catching a different scent in the air. Maukov's mother started to frantically look around for her son, only to hear his cries from across the valley. The herd took to action quickly, their sound echoing through the village and causing a true stir within. The villagers hurried to see what was going on, only to find a young Maukov with a broken leg and abandoned on a forest path. The herd had left him there, knowing that a horse with a broken leg wouldn't survive long. However, the villagers took him in and nursed him back to health. As a strong, adult stallion, Maukov now pulls small sleds and carriages for the village people when he is needed. They decorate him every year for his birthday, and celebrate his survival.
