Galingale Name: Mere
Training Tier n/a
Mere had always been shy, for a galingale at least. He came on to the trainers slowly, but it seemed like the progress was running in circles. As soon as they would achieve a breakthrough, take desensitization for instance. he would just start to get used to louder noises, like the ranchland machines such as tractors and lawnmowers. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he would spook, abruptly, typically dragging any trainer holding his lead rope. It was becoming a serious issue, as they could not keep a consistent rhythm in his training. It had seemed as though they would never have a true, lasting breakthrough. Though, on an unsuspecting evening, when nobody else was around, a trainer decided to take Mere for a walkabout without backup. This was strictly forbidden, as Mere was known to be unpredictable around machines. However, everything persisted as normal. Calm, and collected, Mere had no issue being led around by this lone trainer. Eventually, the trainer let go of the rope, and Mere did not flee. Instead, he followed at her heels, content. It was then that they finally realized that the machines weren't an issue. It was the lack of one-on-one bonding that Mere had. He needed one person to focus on so that he could build that trust. Given the chance, he turned out to be well behaved around larger groups, once he had more trainers added to his schedule in small increments.
