I regularly misplace things only to find them days, weeks even years later. I guess the most interesting story is the time I thought I lost my friend's Pokedex toy only for it to turn out I returned it to her and forgot about it! My last memory of having it was dropping it behind my bed and I couldn't find it behind or under my bed so I thought I lost it forever!

I lost a book last year after carefully picking it up with the intent to start reading it! Upon moving my bed to sort my sheets which had come off the mattress, I found the book (after looking everywhere of course lol) it had slid down the side of the bed. Meaning I'd probs left it on my bed and forgot, so while I slept it had gone walkabout lol

A few songs I loved years ago! I remembered nothing but one or two lines from them anymore, so had a hard time finding them. One took a lot of digging but I finally found it again through hard work, and the other found me instead. The band that made the song showed up on my tiktok page and I looked through their account, then found a video that featured that song!

My love for reading!! I thought I grew out of loving books, but ask it turns out books targeted at a younger audiences are just so much more fun! I enjoy reading fun stories, and books for adults just don't really have that!

I once misplaced my glasses while washing my face, as I put them in a different spot without really thinking about it - this was a momentarily harrowing experience, as I'm legally blind and can't see detail without them [just vague shapes and fuzzy colors], but I found them rather quickly when I stumbled into the room to ask my partner for help and remembered suddenly where they were xD

i have this little mr saturn (character from the game earthbound) crocheted plushie that sits next to my bed. my grandma made it for me, and i absolutely adore it. it does tend to fall down the crack between the wall and my bed though, so sometimes it would disappear and it might take me a couple of days to go search for it because im lazy.

unfortunately one day it disappeared, and i searched every spot of my room and it didn't turn up. i asked my parents if they had seen it, asked my siblings if they had stolen it, and still nothing.

probably around a week or two later it was my birthday, and upon opening one of the gifts, not one but two mr saturns appeared! my parents had taken mine and given it to my grandma as a reference in order to make another identical one. they thought i wouldn't notice as typically im very unobservant lol. but now i have two mr saturns sitting next to my bed c:

Froot Loop cereal straws. I'm so serious, they were a big part of my childhood. And for the past few years, I've been remembering about them at least once every few months, and then lamenting about how they were long gone. Only to find out that they came back! I'm still convinced that I manifested them tbh but no one believes me.
