This cat is being raffled off!
To enter, please link your 'Y is for Yielding' post on Storkie #1000 and answer this question;
What's one time you were faced with the decision to yield or stand your ground, and how did you handle it? If you're not comfortable answering that question you could instead answer this one; what's one time you wanted to give up on something, but you persisted anyway? (example: for me I really wanted to quit learning to crochet early on, but I persisted and now I can make some basic hats!)

This raffle will end on January 6th and the winner will be pulled between January 7th and January 11th.

Y is for Yielding

Ive had a couple of times where Ive been charged by bulls. In one case I yeilded, sprinting for escape. But the other it wasnt feasible and I stood my ground, outbluffing the animal and managing to get away with it

Y is for yielding; to know when it's finally time to give in, or when to stand your ground.

In the late end of last year I had a short period of time where I had some pretty bad days with my mental health in regards to streaming. I kept seeing other people doing better despite how hard I was trying and it was pretty hard on me. But I have people out there who've become my friends because of the fact that I stream and the way I present myself (literally it's just me, no acting or anything) so I kept going because of them and for my own sake
Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.

Early on I wanted to give up learning to draw horses! I had learned to draw cats first so adjusting to drawing hooves, longer necks, and longer faces was very rough. There were points I was outright crying with frustration. I still feel more comfortable drawing Cats than Horses but I have learned how to do it!

I don't think I can answer the first one, as I'm very much a pushover. (For now! I'm working on it!)
But for the second one, I really wanted to give up on a specific internship several times while I was there. They weren't very great people, but luckily I managed to get a passing assessment from them and graduated. Now I finished school and work instead! I don't think I want to go back to school any time soon

I've definitely wanted to quit my university multiple times, but I cut back on my workload and have decided I'm going to persevere however I have to! I guess in a way I yielded slightly so I could stand my ground better!

Y is for Yielding

I stopped drawing multiple times over the years - I'd just stop for periods of time, one of which lasted 4 years. Not really for any particular reason, I suppose, other than dealing with mental illness, but I eventually decided to try to stay on top of it and draw at least a couple times a month, to prevent myself from losing the creative spark that had made me draw in the first place. I've managed to stick to it for a few years now, and I'm proud of myself for sticking with it - executive dysfunction can make it difficult sometimes, but I'm learning to manage it!

Y is for Yielding

It feels like something small in the scheme of things, but I'm glad I've kept up different creative pursuits at least a little bit. There's been so many times where I've been worried about something I've made not being good enough, or being rejected for them, but I'm finally getting to a point where I can create stories and OCs and let myself enjoy them.
