Simas are known for their mutations, but these kids seem even more mixed up than normal... And, hey, is it just me, or do they look kind of familiar?

Prompt;

Ikiryo sighed heavily; he hated being stuck in school all day; he would much rather be at home writing and drawing. As his mind wandered, he daydreamed about grand adventures through foreign lands, fighting dragons, and stealing treasure. He was partway through his story line when the bell for class rang and he was jolted back to reality. with another heavy sign he scribbled down some notes before packing up and heading off to his next class.

Prompt: Conversation

"Kiwano!? *KIWANO!!* Wo-ti had just about had it! "If you don't show up on this spot right now young man..." pointing directly in front of him, where a young Sima had just appeared, holding a basket of fruit. Acting like he hadn't just vanished into the seething crowd at the market over half an hour ago. The adult Sima scooped up his charge and plopped him on a low wall near by. "Of all the places to wander off, this is the worst possible place," scolded Wo-ti.

"But why pop? I only wanted to help with the shopping," the kit explained.

Mustaches twitching with supressed frustration, Wo-ti took a deep breath and sat next to Kiwano. Placing a paw awkwardly on his shoulder. "I guess you've forgotten already, but I *found* you at the market last year. Looked everywhere, asked around and posted notices, no trace of your family."

The kit squirmed, eager to be off, exploring. "I was just a baby then, I'm BIG now! I won't get lost!" He said proudly. Then a thought suddenly occurred to him, "Why did you keep me? Don't lost kids get turned in or something?"

Wo-ti chuckled, "You were so little, but feisty. You were apparently hungry too. Couldn't get you to turn lose of one of these," he held up a small, spiky mellon. Kept gnawing on it. One of my favorites too. No one else had room and I thought I'd just keep you for a while..."

"Just a... while??"

"Don't worry squirt! I've kinda gotten use to having you around. So don't wander off, okay?"

Prompt: Conversation.

“No this isn’t right, he thought. This isn’t where I’m supposed to be, this should be familiar..” he paced slowly along the broken path to his destination. Looking left and right for the next opening within the dense woods. After moments of searching he learned that he was never on the right path at all. As the day started to end, and the daylight started to fade he anxiously searched for the correct passage. It quickly became apparent that he was completely lost. I’m not going to make it.. he thought. A voice seemed to answer the question in his mind. “I can help you get to where you need to be.” An older sima came from the brush. Finch wanted to trust him. “Are you lost?” Finch nodded. The two began to stroll and just as if it were muscle memory the older sima lead Finch down a path he had never noticed before. “Sometimes you need to be patient, and trust that you are heading the right way.” He looked toward Finch, “I know you are tired, and scared but carelessly rushing will only make it worse. You must be patient.” Finch had never truly been patient. He was often distracted and careless with his decisions. Maybe if he had been more patient he would have made it in time. “Thank you. What you’ve said will stick with me.” The older sima smiled, “I’m always happy to help.”
