Nile River Equids (NREs) are a sub-breed of Mustangs who were discovered to be living in African deserts, a majority near the Nile River, where their descendants are speculated to be from Spain. The people who discovered these horses found that they were extraordinarily friendly and the human tradition of braided tails is a sign that the NRE is domesticated or belongs to someone.

Though the braids symbolize their domestic status with humans, the ribbons are connected to their handler. The person who obtains the ribbon from the horse's tail has almost complete control over the horse, though they have loyalty to the ribbon holder, they still enjoy other human interactions and companionship. It is known for one person to control a whole herd of NREs with just one ribbon colour, but it is more common for someone to wear multiple ribbons around their necks, in their hair, or like a belt. Ribbons can come in any colour or pattern.

- All NRE have 5 breeding slots throughout their lifetime. More may occasionally be acquired.
- All breeding requests must be posted on this thread, please do not PM individual artists a request or inquire about the status of a breeding.
- NRE foals will grow up 2 weeks after being posted. The adult line and foal lines must be posted for reference.
- If you have waited more than 30 days for an accepted breeding to be posted, or a foal to be grown, please PM Folmes.
- Users may only request one breeding per artist opening, unless otherwise specified.
- Two overo horses may be bred together, but if OO is rolled, the foal will not be created and the breeding slots not used, as the foal will have Lethal White Syndrome.
- Line and hair edits are able to be passed from parent to foal at the artist’s discretion. Things like paint are not able to be passed from parent to foal.


- Artists are encouraged to request breedings from other artists.
- In the event of an artist creating their own breeding, another staff member must unbiasedly roll the genetics.
- Please direct any PMed requests back to this thread.


- KIT genes are not in effect! Horses can have multiple forms of white. If you receive a breeding that shows KIT genes, please roll as if they were not. (RnTo -> Rnrn Toto)

- Edits are not rolled passable; you may choose to add edits or not. Items or dyes do not pass at all.

- Every breeding rolls for twins at 8%
- If positive, roll for chimera at 5% (twins fuse to create one horse)

- Every breeding rolls for somatic mutation at 7%
- None-genotype genetics will be rolled based off percentages
