Breeding

How does breeding work?

You own one or 2 Pixel cats and those will be bred together to make a litter of 3-6 kittens.

If you pay for 2 cats from the public breeding center to breed, you may pick 1-2 kittens as first pick (dependent on how many kittens are rolled, if it is 3-4 you get 1, if it is 5-6 you get 2), the rest will be publicly adopted out.

If you own one of both of the parents, the litter size will always be 3, but you get to keep all 3.
If you share ownership or use another users cat, this is to be discussed between the two users.
(If you pay for it for example and just want to use another users cat and they are OK with it is a different situation than you both go 50/50 on the costs)
You may gift the kittens to friends.

Cats that share 1 or both parents cannot breed together.

Price of breeding

Every Artist may open a breeding lot at any time, as long as it can be finished within a reasonable time frame.
The price is at the artists discretion and can range from C$, USD, pets or just a free breeding raffle.

Unhappy with your breeding

If you are legitimately upset by the breeding between the chosen pixel cats, then you are absolutely allowed to let us know.
Be aware that we will have a close look at the situation.
If it indeed looks like the artist put 0 effort in the breeding and just wanted a quick cash/pet grab, this will result in them being removed as an artist and blacklisted.
In this situation an Admin will do your breeding free of charge.

If you however complain to get a free breeding with no real complaints to be had, you will be blacklisted from the pixel cat's and be unable to receive any more.

In the case where it seems 50/50 we will ask for touch ups from the artist who was in charge of your breeding.

BE AWARE, you chose the artist when they open breeding slots. While we love every single artist who makes pixel cats and many put a lot of effort into them, it is fully possible that one artists style is different from the other and that you have a preference. in this case we advise waiting until the Artist of your choice opens breeding spots.

I wish to breed, what do I get

A breeding comes with:
- 1 Couple picture of the pixel cats cuddling (the couple picture is chosen by the artist)
- the amount of kittens dependent on the breeding type

Hi Meowgan, we are currently working on making a few more OG pairings before we open Breeding, We also aren't going to allow breeding of direct siblings for now sorry :(
