this goobie is loosely inspired by flounders (the eye, pretty much!) ! since they creep me out but i thought a single eye with 2 irises would be cool, i decided to make them cute and pink >:]

"What am I most afraid of? Well.. there are many things I am fearful of. Such as water I cannot see through, or a darkened sky with angry clouds covering it. But what I am most afraid of? I fear these ghastly little creatures that croak as loud as a waterfall rumbles. You see, my hearing is extremely sensitive, so quiet noises can be perceived as loud as a strike of lightening ripping through the sky with a loud clash of thunder following it. I believe those small, green, four legged creatures are called frogs? You don't see them in the sky too much, nor in the ocean, but.. they're quite common in small creeks, ponds, and rivers. They're very frightening! I even visited a forest once - I saw many blue and black frogs there. Regardless of their colors, they frighten me horribly," Doll responded with a bit of edge to her voice. She seemed to be tense just speaking of the common creatures! "And toads! They're even worse because I generally can't see them! Their colors are quite dull and they just.. blind right in to the environment. I've stepped on one before, accidentally, and it- it screamed! It made the loudest croak I've ever heard. I felt bad to have left it, but when I heard its screech pierce the silent air, I zipped away. I didn't look back."

prompt: what am i most afraid of..? well.. being recognized! you see.. i left my old life behind, swam far, far away from that place. i'm a regular mergoo folk now.. but, i used to be royalty! now, you mustn't tell anyone.. but i was prince of the sand-dweller kingdom. but.. that was not who i was meant to be! so, i chose my own path. nowadays i live peacefully with my coral garden, not a care in the world. the only tragedy is that although i love my eye.. it's a dead giveaway to who i used to be! so, most times i hide it behind my hair. i hope one day.. i can be without worry, and let my eye see everything beautiful that the world has to offer!
