when salvia was just a pup, he fell in love with his best friend. they did everything together, explored all parts of the sanctum, played pranks on the elders, and embraced their youth. salvia was shy as a pup, and his crush, darsh, was the exact opposite. they complemented each other, one the calm the other the storm. salvia always worried for darsh, he would get in so much trouble and would take blame for their antics. one day, the day he realized that his feelings may be reciprocated, darsh gave him a bouquet of flowers. they were beautiful, a cluster of reds and whites and blacks. he knew darsh had always been interested in flowers, he knew he knew the language of flowers, so salvia knew they were special. the next day however, darsh was gone. no one had seen him since the night before and salvia was heart broken. he spent hours looking for darsh, staying up late into the night to see if he would appear. but he never did. so salvia learned what the flowers meant, he had too, to know what darshs last thoughts were. and when he did, he broke even more.

Rue received this lovely purple and white bouquet from her partner, Vienna. They've been together since they were adolescents, and their friendship has gone on for even longer! Both girls love flowers of all sorts, though Vienna took extra care in picking these certain flowers after doing some research on floral language/significance. When Snapdragon was a pup, she had been the smallest of her litter and suffering from a couple of health problems as well, distemper being prime among them. The vet wasn't quite sure whether or not she would make it, but she had the fighting spirit and when given her daily shots for recovery, she would fight mightily and even bite! For that reason, she was named Snapdragon, because she was a ferocious beauty.

At one point mid-treatment her health seemed to deteriorate despite all the progress that had been made, and her humans bought her a bouquet as a way of showing they loved her, but also potentially saying goodbye.

Desert Harbor's first collie has a habit of welcoming newcomers with a small bouquet of flowers. Kyanite loves to make them feel welcome and chooses the flowers very carefully! She's always given a small talk before they arrive, which helps her prepare her little 'welcome home!' gift. So when she learned about the circumstances of him being re-homed, Kyanite knew that she had to pick out some flowers to remind him that he was a sweet pup; and that all of the collies would be more than happy to become his new friends, his new family, and that they'd always include him in on their events and shower him with affection beyond his comprehension!
