The Lone Bashkir Curly horse is a very unique and set apart breed. They are well known for their curly coats, caused by many gene mutations, and their versatility. Lone Curly Horses are often found as chestnut, but have a wide variety of colors, some more rare than others. They range in a height of 13-16 hands, but are often found between 14-15 hands. These horses are found wild in Nevada, USA. Although they are wild, they are also known for their calm and gentle nature. Lone Bashkir Curly Horses got their name due to them not staying in herds with other horses, like most do. Since they are always separated, they often wonder far into owned land and cause disruptions. They have very much grown in population, and many problems have arose, therefore creating the LBC Organization. The LBC Organization is running a rehoming program to protect these horse's while still preserving them. If you're interested, keep an eye out as many are posted for rehoming daily.

Pet peeves?:
Her two biggest pet peeves sort of go hand it hand or hoof in hoof if you will. She doesn't like when others come into her personal space. Please keep a nice distance preferably 3-6 feet away. Personal bubbles are to be respected thank you. Along with that she does not like being touched. Firstly, it means you've entered her personal space. Secondly, you've entered her personal space. We don't want scratches, pats, hugs, or anything else unless she intitiates first.

Show Name: OBC Ruby Red
Barn Name: Dorothy
Gender: Mare
Height: 13.1hh
Halter: Gold
Pet peeves?: One pet peeve Dorothy cannot stand is anything splashing onto her legs. If there is even the slightest chance for puddles or mud, she will refuse to step out of the stables. She's tried wearing leg wraps to see if that will help, but no luck.
Dorothy's second big pet peeve is having treats held in her face. For some reason, she refuses to eat snacks held by someone. If they set the treat down on the ground, she gobble it right up!

Pet peeves?: The. Curry. Comb. Why oh why do the humans insist on using such an infernal torture device on her luxurious coat? Yes, she has curls. Yes, she enjoys a good roll in the mud the same as any other horse. But no no NO she does NOT need to be curried. Bathe her if you must, keep her stalled and blanketed a full week before a show, but keep that blasted, awful, no good, wretched, horrible brush away from her.

Barn Name: Lyra
Gender: Mare
Height: 14.1hh
Halter: Merlot
Pet peeves?: Lyra is not very fond of dogs. Between their incessant barking and tendency to dart out of unexpected places, she'd really rather they stay out of the barn altogether. Not to mention they get into all kinds of trouble! And don't even mention the fact they just seem to looove rolling in manure! Lyra is much more amicable with the quiet, gentle barn cats that keep the mice out of her stall.
