Splish… Splash… Splish… YOWLLLLL!!!!
A tiny Llao had been sitting on the sidelines of the 3 foot pool crafted especially for young pups learning to swim for sport. The young pup practically glued to the cement as he glanced back towards his and his brethren’s handler trying to coax him into leaping into the pool. As much as Llao loved swimming and competing he simply wasn’t in the mood.
It was a frigid rainy day, a day where you could snuggle up in warm blankets and simply nap. And Llao certainly felt it, the young pup yawned stretching his muzzle to heavens before shaking his head to fix his ears before skittering back as a yellow lab dove into the pool. Or maybe it was a black lab…
Whatever it was Llao didn’t care. He only cared about his brother and getting adopted into a kind home that was all. While Llao trotted off from the bleachers he skittered into, he decided it was best to see how his brother was doing.
Llao cautiously approached utterly clueless about Skell’s favorite toy being in front of him and tripped. Little Llao was sent tumbling into the pool water in the deepest end. Thankfully he knew how to swim and how to roll his body under the water to get himself back up to the surface correctly. A guttural yowl from the pup had been released into the air alarming all the dogs on site.
Jaws had clasped around the pup’s scruff and tugged him out of the water. Jaws that were thought to be Skell’s…
Traumatized Llao began whimpering as the heroic husky hybrid that had yanked him from the water began licking Llao to warmth. Llao would never step paw into a pool again, never ever…
Ok so… Maybe Llao didn’t exactly have all the facts straight, but that’s what his head remembered. His mind blocking any and all sections that were important to click the final piece of the story into place. Llao knew it obviously irritated his brother to some fashion, hence the two very different sides of the story.
Yet that didn’t stop Llao from sharing the history of his youth as an ex swim pup with an traumatic experience with pools and a few screws loose.
