The Protector
Always on alert for trouble, Juniper has always been a natural protector of her flock. She has a keen sense of situational awareness, watching for any potential threats or unusual occurrences. This tendency has the unfortunate side effect of her being in a constantly anxious state of being, and she has a difficult time being able to fully relax at any given moment. However, despite her paranoia for danger, she's not flighty or easily scared. On the contrary, she's one of the most bomb-proof chimkins you'll ever meet; nothing is able to scare or or surprise her. Some try to "get" her as a prank; a challenge to get the "Protector" to scare--but they always fail. Because of her cautious personality though, she's all around quite well-liked and looked up to in the flock, often serving as a role-model for younger chicks and peers alike. It also means she's rather brave; fluffing herself up and charging towards threats, rather than running and hiding. Scorpions are common nuisances out in her neck of the woods, and while they send most chims cowering in fear, she has a knack for chasing them off and saving the day!

Something that I'm very much looking forward to in the new year is my internship in Peru! I'll be doing research work with native rainforest wildlife, and although it's in a very remote place very far away from home, I'm also pretty excited to see all kinds of plants and animals rarely seen by most people in the world!

3. Hopefully, somewhere around the spring I'll go to another country for a year! It's both scary and exciting. 3) Honestly the thing I'm most looking forward to is getting a snake! I'm already getting the housing all set up for them, but a lot of breeders won't ship any since the temperatures are getting colder. We want the cutie to be safe during their travel
