story;
Skara is a selectively mute, introverted owner of a metalworking shop called 'Skar Metalworking'. His mutism usually rears its head when he is in especially stressful situations or he is low on energy.
His metalworking business usually gets around by word of mouth, though he does show his creations at an art convention every year in order to get enough business to make a living off of what he does. He is most proficient at metal-shaping, though he will gladly do welding jobs as well.
What his shop is famous for every year, however, is that the royal empress herself will order a special metal-shaping piece for her to display at her palace. Skara's shop is certainly not the only shop whose wares are on display at the palace, but it is still seen as an achievement of high prestige and has gotten him a lot of his most loyal clients that he has today.
He does not know the empress personally, but he has met her once from delivering one of his finest pieces he's made for her display. He remembers her to be very kind and he always boasts about this kindness to his employees and clients whenever he gets the chance.
Skara is really very passionate about his work and loves to talk about it. He has noticed that his mutism hardly ever seems to occur when he is working in his shop and he takes full advantage of that. He loves to work with his clients and will even do some charity work on the side if there's some room in the shop's budget.
When Skara's not working, he returns home to his nearby apartment complex (if he's not working overnight in the shop) and rests in his bed while going over plans for his next or current projects. He'll sometimes also look up different metal practices to try and start plans for those and then most likely forget about them by morning and make his way back to his shop. One of his favorite pastimes to do when he's home, though, is watch the stars with his telescope that has a perfect view of the sky from his complex. One of his clients is an astrologist who keeps him up to date on star movements and planet sightings. He enjoys doodling the constellations that he finds next to his plans so that he gets reminded of which constellations were visible the night he was creating the plan whenever he looks at it again. It's a nice practice that gets him excited for his next project right away.
