This society is named Moorkhata. Moorkhata is built on knowledge. It's used similarly to a resource, and all people in it strive to gain knowledge. Many prestigious schools reside here, and creatures from far and wide come to this place to study. On the outside it may seem like a society full of bookworms and shut-ins, however under this façade of knowledge, there are many underlying organizations that choose to use these willing scholars as their subjects in experiments and manipulate them to fool the general public. Most in this society follow a god they call 'Stolas', and is depicted as a Raven.
As per tradition, on Wednesdays people gather in temples to say their prayers and weekly wishes to Stolas. In famous teachings, it is said that Stolas will offer his wisdom to those either reach enlightenment or can discover the meaning of life, hence the amount of scholars and missionaries that are from this place.
There have been many great and prosperous researchers, but oddly enough, all of them seem like myths. Once they made their discoveries, they were never heard from again.
It is also tradition to wear Lapis Lazuli. It's said to be the stone of wisdom, and grants luck to those who wear it. Creatures who wear this are seen as higher status, since it's unfortunately difficult to obtain. Many families have an heirloom granted to the eldest daughter made of this stone as a blessing representing good fortune, fertility, wisdom and triumph.
Singing is also a big part of the culture in Moorkhata. The singers in this region use the extensive range of their vocal chords to make harmonic hymns to try and manifest divine blessings. Singers and said to have been blessing by Stolas for their beautiful voices, and are thus revered.

About Veil
Veil is very popular amongst the people of Moorkhata, because he himself is a singer/dancer. He wears a veil and a gorgeous silk dress donned in lapis lazuli, as well as swirls of a sky blue on said dress. He's very popular with the youth of the region and some of his songs are said to have secret meaning. During the Sunlight Festival [which takes place the week of the summer solstice], he holds a large concert to give spirits to those listening, and to encourage them to achieve their goals.
About the Terrain
Moorkhata's climate is like that of Egypt, more specifically the around the Nile. There are also some parts of the desert that are similar to those in the south western U.S., with cacti and canyons. To the south of Moorkhata lies the very dangerous rainforest, which houses some fascinating creatures.

Cassandra lives in the continent of Lothia, where she is the first member of the Time-Members council.

The continent of Lothia revolves around the act of seeing through time. There are several classes, defined by their eyes and hair.

Class One- Common
This class is the lowest in all of Lothia. These kalons work the farms and ranches whose food feeds the rest of Lothia. Common Class kalons have dark eyes and hair, and their hair is dust short. Most of these kalons are poor and make the only things they own.

Class Two- Mage
Mages live in towns and work basic jobs. They are guards, shopkeepers, maids, and anything else needed. This class has eyes and hair similar to the Common Class, but it is barely lighter. Most of the visions they have are very unimportant if they have them at all.

Class Three- Seer
Seers are the nobles of Lothia. They have long hair that reaches their shoulders and light eyes. They have important jobs, like merchants, captains, and generals. Seers live in the center of the capital, closest to the Time-Master Class. Their ability to see through time is respectable. They have visions that are useful to Lothias' well-being.

Class Four- Time-Masters
The Time-Masters are the best class in all of Lothia. There can only be nine at one time, and they serve until they die. These kalons are blind, giving up their sight to see through time. Their hair is the longest, and their eyes and hair are the palest. They live in the capital building, made of white stone and gilded with gold. Time-Masters rule Lothia, voting on decisions. If one Time-Master dies, a Seer with the highest skill will be added. Sometimes, it will take months to find the perfect candidate, and major decisions will not be voted on until another master joins.
