The first interaction would be at the water, of course. I'd have tasty food for him, and earn his trust with it. I'd show him I meant no harm, and just want to be friends. Then, when he's ready, I'd lead him back to his new home.

First Interaction: It would honestly be a little chaotic, most likely ending up with me attempting to run away because I smelt highly interesting to him and that resulted in a mini chase which I'd end up losing. After several moments of mentally pleading for him not to eat me (a silly idea as I've never heard of the species eating people but you know scared thoughts don't often make sense), the Crowntail would decide that it was quite possibly worth following me home. I would try and fail to get him to stay where he lives, resign myself to being followed by a very nosy stallion who likes to push me along every so often

Who would’ve expected to find a crownie in a rushing river. The fast rapids looked like gently currants as he casually waded around. A cautious call out to the wild Crowntail followed by a hand held up with a treat inside. His ears perked up and he instantly dove into the depths of the rushing currants.
Assuming it was spooked, I let out a sigh as I stood by the river bank. However, as I looked down at the murky water, a pair of gleaming eyes were staring right back at me. I slowly backed off as the crowntail stepped onto the river bank. I held my hand out as he quickly snatched the treat before retreating back into the river.
