"I'm a bit taken aback by how well you're taking this." Eyeris mused. "I'd imagine most people would be freaked out by it."
"It does put some things into perspective, don't get me wrong-" She interjected, looking toward the grass that she could see through her forepaws. "But it also does explain some things.."
Eyeris gave a flick of his tail as he got to his feet, letting out an amused trill. "I'm sure it does."
"And I can only assume you're the same?"
"Oh, none of this is real." He replied. "To everyone else on this island, it is. None of it exists, we're nothing beyond a few lines and colors to someone. They could be the one having this discussion right now."
"Perhaps so." Veera pushed herself to sit upright, stretching her back a bit. Just because she was dead didn't mean she didn't get achey. "But perhaps it'll be nice to be someone's play thing, just for a little while. The likelihood I'll remember this conversation after a while is very slim."
She gave him a smile, and then turned to take her leave.

"I thought you knew!" Bluestar (yes, Bluestar) exclaims.

"I surely did not, my dear friend! I would like to be a real dog- What is this twoleg making me say?!" Tamatoa groaned.

"Hey, don't beat yourself up, Tami! It's all good, at least you're not a dog!" Bluestar smiled. "I know that my twoleg's name is called Erin Hunter!"

"I don't know who my twoleg is, and I wouldn't dare to ask!" Tamatoa shook his head uncomfortably.

"Oh, look at the time! I have to go now, Tami, I'm sorry! We'll finish our conversation in a few years, see you!" Bluestar smiled.


"Alright, goodbye Bluestar!" Tamatoa waved with his tail and fell asleep, snoring, right on top of a pile of gold.

Siriustail watched the narrator, as they spun a story about worlds beyond, and what reality truly was. " have a saying I have always liked you know? I think, therefore I am. And well, maybe in your reality I am not real but what about in my reality hmm? That is to say, I am as real as you. IN this world, I remember my family, my birth, my origins... those are all very real to me. And thats all that matters hmm?"

She chuckles, a warm sound. "In my world, it is you who are made up after all, a myth, a not reality if you will. Does seeing you change things? Maybe a slight, but it does not change MY reality. This will make an amazing story to tell the others though, and likely so on your end as well huh? I appreciate the honesty, I do! But, your truth changes nothing. So please, do not worry over me hmm? Go back home and well, find new stories!"

As the other left, Siriustail walked away to a spot unseen. Tears streamed down her cheeks, as she sniffed a bit. "I am real... because if I wasn't what was it all for?" She asked herself.

Prompt: You approach the starry cat with a deep breath, steeling yourself against the probability of them freaking the heck out.

The feline was sitting down, tail curling gracefully around their dainty paws. They were gazing down through a portal, inspecting the whereabouts of LagoonClan, and smiling fondly at the kitten's playing. As you padded through the thick layers of wispy clouds, their sides heaved with a heavy, dreamy sigh. The cat was in your reach now. You just had to poke them. Your nonexistent heartbeat thumped back and forth, slamming against your luminous ribcage. Why was this so hard? What's the worst that could happen? I mean, you both are already dead, so you can't die again...Right? You shake your head, clearing the thoughts, and reaching out your paw, booping the feline on the shoulder.

They turn, with a quizzical look on their translucent face.

You start to explain everything. Starting with the fact that nothing they've ever known was real. Reality was an illusion. The universe was a hologram. And they should probably buy gold...for some reason. You thought you'd just mention that, just to be safe, you know?

Next, you say how they're actually just a minor character in some weird Twoleg's fantasy world, and will probably become something called a 'comfort character' for that being to draw over and over again, because they really like the cat's eyes. And the poor cat will also probably have no written story about them and only be used for stupid art pieces.

And, as the Twoleg cherry on top, you add that they're also dead. Just in case they didn't know.

They blink, the smile on their face had melted off at least 10 minutes ago, like snow falling off a tree branch from the morning sun. They blink again.

Suddenly, like a grasshopper, they perked up, leaped at least 5 feet in the air and landed, panting, fur puffed out. Their eyes were as large as puddles, full of confusion and hopelessness. They opened their fanged feline mouth, about to give the oh-so-important feedback that you were looking for.

"I'm dead?"

"An oh-see?" Niner tilted his head. "Isn't that something the younger cats like talking about?"

You explain again to him that he's a fictional character.

"Wouldn't that be a bit... what's the word? Meta?"

You ask what he means.

"I mean, you're writing yourself talking to me and writing how I react, then."

You pause. He's right.

"If you're expecting me to be shocked, then that's because you wrote me that way. Even me pointing out to you that you control my reaction is because you wrote it that way."

You aren't sure how to respond to this. Huh. You guess you are the one making him say these things to you. Why are you so surprised then?

"I mean, what even is Warriors? Is that supposed to mean anything to me? Because you didn't write me knowing what that even is."

You explain that it's a book series about cats living in the woods.

"...Was that really such a novel concept that you couldn't come up with that yourself, instead of needing a pre-existing book series to base my life off of?"

Sheepishly you tell him that you really only used that part- his life isn't anything like in the books, save for being cats.

"Then why am I a fan character and not just a normal character?"

You open your mouth to explain Stars to him, but then decide you don't particularly feel like writing this conversation going any further. After all, you're the one making him say these things, you're basically just having an argument with yourself as this point.

Oh well.

Prompt: Chiasciuro stared in confusion, and tilting her head she asked, "what does fictional character mean?" So, you explain, as she starts laughing, the concept in her mind piecing it together. "Thanks for the laugh kid," she said, her laughter dying down, "I haven't had a good one in a while." After a spell of silence she asked, "..is it really true?" You nodded, and she sighed, looking at her paws. "I believe I have alot to think to think about then. But I won't stop living- or rather unliving, because of the chance I may be fake." Chiasciuro then walked away, lost in thoughts.
One of her friends caught up to her, and after looking back, she joined them in their activities, processing the conversation that just happened.
