Prompt; Majara's experiences with other fish have been odd to say the least. Those fish-like markings on their body? Yeah, those are real fish. The fish had somehow been absorbed onto Majara's body and now they spend their lives swimming around and changing Majara's patterns. They don't mind this though, they keep eachother company. Majara has yet to figure out how this even happened and since then they have tried to stay away from larger bodies of water to prevent it. They think they may have been cursed with this odd "power" but that's just a theory.
