Backstory Of The Dream Criminals:

Every Chicoon is born with an insecurity, condition, mental issue, or sickness no matter what. They are also assigned an aesthetic based on their looks at birth aswell. Once they become adults, they travel through the dreams and humans that match their insecurity, condition, etc. Depending on the personality of said Chicoon, they might not be able to push the human in a positive manner. Some Chicoons are born to cause a human's demise, some are born to help. It all just matters on details of the certain Chicoon. The humans are granted wild dreams that their assigned Chicoon may or may not appear in. All the same, humans are still alive all because of the balance of The Dream Criminals.

when the moon is high and only the owls are awake, dhruv will go on walks. through the woods, along beaten paths, and over sharp walks. they’ll travel far from their den, just to reach an open clearing with a large hill. posted upon the hill lies a twisted wooden poll with a rickety lantern. they’ll sit there for hours on end, watching as the moon crests and falls. sometimes they’ll see the stars streak across the sky, other times they’ll see wild animals walk along the base of the hill. every night is different, but each time is peaceful. only when the sun starts to peak over the trees, does dhruv go back home.

What do they do at night?: This Chicoon is a night owl, through and through. He has trouble staying awake during the day and has struggled with that all of his life, and of course being extra sensitive to light in his eyes, which can induce brutal and long lasting migraines, also had a hand in him eventually giving up and just embraced the tranquility that being nocturnal offers him. No more raging migraines that last all day, and a whole, quiet world to embrace and run away in. The cover of night offers the perfect disguise for him to be the energetic and playful Chicoon he should have been his whole life. In addition to just living his normal day-to-day life by night, it conveniently gives him the perfect disguise to be the perfect prankster! This Chicoon will get into anything and mess with just about anyone, but if he spies or smells food you're definitely in for trouble! Shiver will break into places he certainly doesn't belong (like bakeries, factories, and even houses) to steal and gorge himself on the food therein while the owners are out and everything is still and quiet, or everyone in the house is asleep. Thankfully, no one has caught him yet, but there's no telling what will happen when he does eventually get caught! Part of the never knowing is definitely part of the thrill for Shiver, making this thievery his favorite nocturnal activity.
