Prompt: "The God of Sight," the Demon King declared before everyone, giving a sweeping gesture toward Iris, the oracle. Iris stepped forward, offering a bow of her head to the crowd of immortals, deities, demons, and gods before her as she accepted the title and status had been granted to her. When she raised her head once more, she wore a warm smile.
Finally, she had become a god. Finally, she had found her home.
Time had passed.
In the aftermath of the battle against the titan and the sorceress, the curse had finally been lifted from Iris and she was free. Free to leave the hillside and finally live her own life once more. However, all of her dear old friends had been released from the hillside before her and were on their own adventures now, with new friends and new places to be. Too much of the world had changed while she had been trapped on the hillside. Everything was strange and unfamiliar to her. She knew not what her own future would hold.
Just as the oracle was finding herself even more lost than before, and almost afraid to actually leave the hillside for good, one of the heroes that had once approached her and even stood amongst the crowd as one of her believers, had come to exchange words with her once more. Ghost had invited her to stay as a guest within the Celestial Heavens and Iris had eventually accepted the offer.
It seemed like a long time ago now, although not all that much time had passed.
At first, Iris had truly only intended to stay for a short while, allowing herself to take the time she needed to sort out her thoughts and feelings, so that she could make a decision about what to do next. Where she would go, what she would do. But the longer she stayed the more at home she felt.
The Celestial Heavens was a strange place. It was not unlike the hillside she had been trapped on for so very many years, as the heavens did not change all that much, although all of the worlds outside of it had changed so much throughout the passage of time. Or so she had come to realize, as she exchanged words with those within the heavens, and read through their texts.
Just like her, many had experienced living through years and years, far longer than a mortal's lifespan, and through a great many of different changes within the outside world. Because of the similarities, she felt comforted during her stay with them and did not feel so out of place. Iris realized that even though her situation was a complicated one and she had an existence that was not like that of a mortal, like she had been born as, that she could still find a place for her.
Now, much of her time is spent experiencing new things and learning all about things that she had once forgotten.
