Name: Aduna
Gender: Mare
Prompt 1:
Arriving in the pasture on the estate owned by his girlfriend and apple of his eye, Kyle Bantam lead the Gallingale, as he earlier learned these weird feather horses were called, off of the plush, cozy trailer, and across the grass to the path that would lead them to the barn full of other members of her species. She would'nt be able to socialize much with the others before she had been seen to, but they could get to know one another through the tops of the stall doors attatched to the barn. The feather horse in question, however, was quite skittish and walked no less than 2 inches from the young man leading her, clinging to him rather than trying to bolt for fear of punishment, and anxiety over the new situation, new Gallingales, and new... everything! Kyle noticed this rising vibration of funk from his new future mount, and spoke softly to her about everything as they walked, even if she could'nt truly understand him. He knew a soft touch and a kind heart would earn her trust in the end, even if those things came to him rather difficult.
Prompt 2:
Faded, haggard, weak, and breathless with stress, the green mare was brought to a special, isolated paddock off of the barn on the estate and allowed to breath and relax for a few hours, supplied with fresh food and water. Kyle, the new owner of the fantastically patterned Gallingale, then returned with the tools and supplies needed to clean and groom the Gallingale, and took a seat on the grass a ways away from the distressed "feather horse"- allowing her to be the one to decide when to approach the young man and express her curiosity. After another handful of hours, and being scowled at by a kiwi green horse with tattered plumage, the Gallingale in question took her first few steps toward him, her new human, and gave a snort of objection before closing the rest of the gap and shoving her face exclusively in his business. Kyle, taken aback by the sudden shift in the mare's attitude, laughed softly and raised a hand slowly to her face, earning a soft nicker of either irritation or acceptance- something the young man took to ean he was at least partially welcome to do what he had to to help her feel better. He might not have been a great person himself, even by a stretch, but his more devious tendencies left him quite quickly once there was an animal in need he could help out. And he could. He could, and would, take back the length of her strange segmented hooves, clip down the edges of the feathers on her body that were ripped or snapped, and use the water in the pond inside the paddock to gently rinse down her dirty coat- do everything he could, as small as he could, to help facilitate her healing process, physically and mentally.
Prompt 3:
Aduna, as Kyle had newly dubbed the feather horse, after a few days of TLC, accompanied Kyle as he went about his daily, if optional as he didn't really quite need to work, chores, with her head nearly touching the young man's shoulder as they walked. He had quickly come to learn just how needy and touch starved the sweet mare had become in her time with her previous owners, and while he didn't mind, his girlfriend might start getting jealous he was spending more time with his Gallingale than her. Albeit not seriously, his girlfriend was indeed a little in envy about the way Kyle's mare took to water; her personal mare was quite the opposite when it came to the dreaded H20. She bumped into him when he stopped, and quickly caught up with Kyle again as he moved from stall to stall to feed his favorite animals of the menegerie- the minimal staff picking up the rest of the work for him. Another perk he could equate to his girlfriend, and another reason to spend more time with his Aduna.
