(LORE ALERT - sorry if this isn't the right oekaki board for this)
• Been having some fun with world-building ideas and thinking of separating feathervals into "flocks" (yes I was a warriors kid lol) •
• Each flock has its characteristic common DNA groups, skills, nature, hierarchy, and preferred habitat. •
• These characters are the Monarchs (leaders) of each flock. Hopefully you can tell which bird(/mammal) DNA most of them have :> •

I'm adding more info about each of the flocks slowly here!
I also re-organized the official Bestiary by flock :> Feel free to check it and PM me to switch flocks if it doesn't suit your featherval's story!

Which flock you choose for your characters, and their role in them, is just some more info you can list to help give them more character/backstory, and could be used for RP in future threads.

I'm also taking name suggestions for the leaders if anyone has any... ;; (i'll keep checking back and updating when I see some I like best! thanks :>)

Plains monarch (young, cocky, something to prove, she/her): Kimora
Rain monarch (youngest, spacey intuitive starchild, he/they): Tashi
Garden monarch (sweet old beauty queen, she/her): Shirengen ('Shi-shi' as fond nickname in her flock)
Timber monarch (oldest, noble warrior dad, he/him): Oberon
Snow monarch (young, hardy, upbeat dwarfish spirit, she/her): Nunaat
Bone monarch (mid-age, clever, never gets her own paws dirty, she/her): Ulna/Derma - can't decide! both remind me of Yzma lol

• I don't RP, so I might hand ownership/control of these characters to other people at some point to lead that side of thing :> Do let me know if you're interested. •

EDIT: I see ppl interested in certain monarchs!!! Will keep you in mind! I'll definitely make a solid ref for each before preparing to hand them off.

EDIT 2: changed Tundra > Snow because I don't want two flocks starting with the same letter.

Oh my goodness I love them all so cute!! I'll edit my post with name suggestions, thinking maybe names sorta related to their biomes? Not super original probably lol but still cute I think! <3

Also if any open up for claims I would love to do some character development with any of them!

I love them all ToT oh my goodness, they're adorable! I'd like to suggest Nunaat for the tundra flock leader and Shirengen for the garden flock leader, ^-^

hmm.. maybe the name kimora for them ? i believe it means brave/fearless and is pretty fitting c:

for rain; keiji, neema, or tashi ?
for timber; oberon, arasan, kiril, or malik ?

^ these names were searched for w/ inspiration from their info blurbs !!

i'm definitely going to keep track of who has shown interest in owning specific Monarchs!

•also, I reorganized the bestiary by flock - PM me to switch flocks!
•the MYO base will now have a space for gender/pronouns + role/skill + flock (instead of zodiac + element). I'll edit the symbols to be prettier soon!
•I've decided I'm mostly categorizing them by bird DNA now (going to edit the bestiary listings to make them more consistent) - so cat/mammal DNA is going to be mostly for aesthetic purposes.
