5 years! that's a long time!! happy birthday kalons! <3

i'm so happy to be a part of this wonderful species, i just love designing kalons for you guys year after year <3 for this year's anniversary i based my design on a black-headed gull - i just love how cute but .. slightly creepy they look. there are a LOT of these guys around where i live and they can get really greedy during the summer and ice cream season but i love them nonetheless.

picture of their favourite food: Baked potatoes!
why do they like it? Spuds loves baked potatoes and potatoes in general because he is named after them. He'll eat them with ketchup, mustard, cheese, sour cream, and all sorts of other weird combinations. One time, he even had one that had a pool of cream cheese over it! He called it a delicacy. Spuds can never get enough potatoes. :)

why do they like it?

Dionizy loves pierogis because they are simple and delicious. The dough is incredibly simple to make, and the filling can be anything, savory or sweet!
The cooking process is also simple, all it takes is a flame, a pot and some water. It all started when Dionizy was a child, many years ago.

"Mama! I'm hungry, give me something to eat pleaseeee!"
His mother sighed. "You and your seemingly endless appetite. Here, you just wait my son. I'll have you fed soon."
Dionizy watched his mother carefully. She grabbed flour, water and starch to make a dough. After kneading the dough, she rolled it out on the counter. She used her other set of paws to start peeling potatoes, getting them ready to boil. She set the dough aside carefully, and placed the peeled potatoes in salted water.

"See son? Pierogis are simple to make, and will fill you up." While the potatoes were boiling, Dionizy's mother got the pan ready. Once the potatoes were done, she took them out, salted them and mashed them. One by one, she took the dough and filled a pocket with potatoes, throwing in the pan with onions five at a time until they were all done.

They both sat at the table, Dionizy and his mother ready to eat. Dionizy took a bite, and was marveled by the taste.
"This tastes really good mama! Thank you!"
His mother chuckled, and thus they both sat in peace. Dionizy would remember this moment, and would make pierogis of his own someday.

why do they like it? Trail mix makes an easy snack between shows that Benny can easily grab on the go. Benny is a performer that works in his local circus. He doesn't have much time between acts on show nights so Trail Mix is his go to.

why do they like it? Working at the liminal bowling alley is... a task. It's not grueling, nor is it particularly fulfilling. It's never fuller than slightly over half capacity even on its busiest days. Still, Guillermo works long shifts every day and meanders around completing tasks as required. Sometimes he'll just go around playing arcade games in the gaming corner to stave off boredom; most of the games have his tag "GLMO" lingering somewhere in the high scores.
Among the frequent obtaining of epic gamer wins, accomplishing normal duties of the establishment, and slipping into a state of fragmented reality with alarming ease, Guillermo's other common on-the-job pastime is listless snacking. The bowling alley boasts a surprisingly wide variety of food items despite its very small pool of clientele, suitable for most dietary needs and preferences. The glittering gem of the alley's menu that Guillermo struggles not to eat multiple times a day are the chili cheeze fries. Potato fries crisped to perfection, beans baked into soft red nuggets, "meat" crumbled into savory little morsels, nacho cheese drizzled in tantalizing spirals, topped with shockingly fresh green onion and a dollop of tangy sour cream. Somehow it has just the right amount of grease to make it fulfilling but not gross! What perhaps makes this the best meal ever is that the meat's plant-based, aligning perfectly with Guillermo's vegetarian diet.
He can easily spend a whole meal break savoring the delicious pile of chunky goop, then clean the entirety of his plate and fingers. It definitely fills the otherwise creeping void the bowling alley is capable of opening. Honestly, if he could get paid in chili cheeze fries, Guillermo would probably opt for it. But the bowling alley is a reputable business that files all its taxes and would never do underhanded business deals! Never. [300/300]

✰ why do they like it? While a cultural food with origins in
the British Isles, later spreading throughout western Europe,
black pudding (also known as blood pudding) is often regarded
as an unappetizing and even creepy delicacy. With considerably
unsavory preparations, black pudding is rather a type of sausage
made from animal blood, namely pork, and mixed with fats,
grains such as oatmeal or barley, and various seasonings. This
sausage can be recooked within it’s skin or consumed cold after
full production.

Born in Ireland and raised by his grandparents in a more traditional
household, one of Saoirse’s favorite dishes is a full breakfast
centering black pudding (alongside fried or scrambled eggs and
soda bread) - used to leaving for a majority of the day as he grew
older, committed to a number of varying jobs, breakfast at home
was his most treasured time spent. If not overcooked, he always
found black pudding to have a lovely hint of spices and crispy texture
that always matched well with nearly everything else he ate, even
aside from breakfast foods. At this point, he was unaware of the
full backstory and underlying powers of his family; when the time of
learning arose and they were forced to leave their current home, Sao
kept the routines and traditions he was accustomed to with him,
especially his favorite meal.

In current time, Sao attempts to blend in with the continuously
updating world, wishing to remain unassuming for the sake of
his family’s anonymity; however, his unusual appearance and eating
‘habits’ often draw unwanted attention. Fiercely protective of his
culture, Sao is especially used to being questioned about his black
pudding meals as they travel to areas outside of Europe, yet always
takes an opportunity to inform and hopefully persuade someone to
be more open-minded of his favored food. [299]

why do they like it? Gullie is an absolute rat. She is lazy and trashy and that mix does not vibe well. Her favorite snack is raw spaghetti which is unfortunately the love child of that mixture. What’s that? Wait Gullie has some positives of eating raw spaghetti noodles.
