Two white furballs! These two showed up rather out of the blue. They seem friendly enough, although staff wonder what their story is.

The white cat jumped up on the wood island in her disciples house. The smells of fresh meat being cut up just for her, made her mouth water with every slice across. The crunching and cracking of an egg shell, knowing that tonight was something special. There must be a show tomorrow, otherwise she wouldn't normally get an egg. trotting politely after them, she watched as her food bowl was placed on her favorite eating mat, the smells finally getting their revenge for making her stomach growl.

Lapping up the last of her meal, she stretched out and lounged in the last few rays of sunlight. What could a cat ever ask for on a day like this? She was picked up and taken to another room. Placed on a table, she sat and waited for the large hands of the human to brush through her fur, before placing her in a warm bath smelling of roses. Tucking her feet under her, she relaxed more and the twig-like ends of the human paws massaged her fur, skin, and muscles lightly. Purring with pleasure, she hardly noticed as they once again placed her on a table and started to dry her off. Curled up in her bed, Crimson awaited for what was to happen the following day.

The steel bars closed in front of her face. She had never seen anything like this. Cold, unlike her plush carrier she was always in, and no smell of fresh food to be had. What happened? Why was she here? Why is everything so loud? A loud crash and dog barks made her scramble and slide to the back of her metal enclosure. Her fur on end as the lack of knowledge, and fear of not being able to see kicked in. Covering her eyes with her tail, and flattening her ears to her skull, she tried to block out all the noises that were coming from wherever it is she was in.

Tyrion never had a super cushy lifestyle, but he was happy as and indoor/outdoor cat. Never really able to jump over the fence of his yard, he happily played in the grass, garden flowers and bushes, and even in the dirt, making his owners groan with having to brush it out of his white fur.

He's not too sure how it happened, but he managed to escape his yard, and was never able to find it. Roaming the streets calling and crying out, only to narrowly escape dog and cat attacks. This lead to a distrust in humans, and eventually living on the streets, and staying as far away from dangers as he can. Maybe it was a good thing those humans trapped him, but now he awaits patiently for his owners to come and get him once again, so he can apologize for running off, and not coming home.

Prompt - I watched over the yard from my comfortable spot on the redwood fence, my large ears flicked as I heard the bushes in another yard rattle. As the leaves rustled a small cat emerged. Both of us being just kittens, I saw nothing unique about her except her vibrant honey-colored eyes. Her snowy white fur spooked me even though mine was just as bright. Only once she had jumped up on MY fence did I realize how short her legs were. The stubby cat sat a good solid 6 inches lower than me, although my legs were long.

"Hello!" her voice was squeaky but low pitched. I wasn't sure how to respond, my high poise normally scared off most cats, but this cat had just approached me to have a mid-day conversation. The sun reflected off her pelt, no wonder no one approached me. Turning my gaze back to the yard, the small cat added, "My name is Spook."

I slid through the rose bush without a single scratch. I guess I must have hit several branches because the elegant cat I had been stalking turned and stared. I finally decided to speak to him. I popped up on the fence, and his eyes went to my legs. Everyone's eyes always watch my legs, it's like they think I'll trip or I had them cut off. Trying to draw his attention off my shortness I started with, "Hello." His eyes formed slits as he sized me up as if he had been terrified. As he turned to look away, I knew I had to say something before he continued to hunt, this might be my only chance, so, making up a name, I desperately added, "My name is Spook."

It would be rude of me to leave, but then I wouldn't have to be pestered by this tiny cat. "My name is Tallgaze," I replied without making eye contact. The only person that had used that name was my mother and she mostly just called me "Kitty." Cats like me don't tend to have names unless they give themselves one. I laid down on the fence, absorbing sun rays and lowering myself to Spook's eye level, inviting her to conversation.

He still seemed uninterested in conversation, but replied, "My name is Tallgaze," his name sounded like it was real, not something he made up on the fly like "Spook." The conversation was going to be awkward if he didn't look at me, but then he laid down and looked right at my face, not my legs, my face. I smiled and asked, "So where were you born?"

The bold cat caught me off guard when she asked, "So where were you born?" I remember my mom's blue eye and green eye, my siblings all matched, but my eyes were identical. The breeder gave me to a shelter because of this, but I ran away. I didn't want to tell Spook this so I simply said, "Somewhere far from here. What about you?" I was hoping that Spook would catch on and not pester me further, but I was mistaken.

Tallgaze had a perplexed face for a moment, but then he said, "Somewhere far from here. What about you?" I was hoping to get to know him better than "Somewhere far from here," so I replied to the question with, "I don't remember, what do you consider far away?" I had lied, I had been born in the hills, and remembered it quite vividly, but I wanted to keep the subject of conversation on Tallgaze.

I was annoyed now by Spook's nagging, but I let it be. "I can't remember how far I traveled. I mostly stay here now, this person has quite the mouse problem and I am comfortable," I stood up as I spoke. I could tell that this conversation was getting nowhere and my eyes were beginning to hurt. "Can you climb trees?" I asked, positioning for a climbing challenge.

I could tell by his response that he didn't want to talk about it. I am always up for a challenge and excitedly accepted. I hadn't climbed trees for a long time, but perhaps I could do it. I cautiously leaped onto the closest branch in the bushy tree. His eyes watched my legs as I balanced up to a cluster of leaves and branches which was comfortable to lay in, I probably would be coming back here for my naps.

I was stunned by her silent reaction and her ability to climb. I couldn't help but watch her legs and be ready to leap and catch her. I leaped on to a branch opposite of her, with a different cluster to lay in. We continued to chat, but now my eyes weren't burning from the sun on her pelt. I found it nice to have a friend to chat with, but little did I know that we would be more than friends eventually.

I was optimistic when Tallgaze followed through and leaped up into the tree. He continued to talk to me and the rest of the conversation was more fluid. Sure I lied a few times, but I made sure not to lie about anything important because I wanted to make sure that I could continue to chat from time to time. We became buddies pretty quickly and I would call the encounter a success, especially considering the effects in the long run.
