His strongest bond is with Jamie, the only other pet in his household, of course. He became best friends with her when he was a pup. She was still pretty young back then too. That's when that strong bond formed, and it formed because they were just...drawn to each other. Jamie thought Clare was super cool looking. Clare thought Jamie had a pretty coat. He would share his treats with her; she'd share her toys with him. Therefore, they became the best of friends, and they cuddle and play all the time.

Hope was puzzled. She knew that her mother was the source of warmth and food, but a suspicious second figure always was near her mother. The second figure was black and not much, if at all, larger than herself. Hope's goal at first was to avoid the figure, but still stay close to her mother, but that started to change.

Not even two days after the pup had made the decision to stay away, she realized that the figure also brought warmth. Snuggling with the figure, that she soon learned was her sister, and her mother, she never was cold.

--------------- 4 WEEKS ---------------

Hope was beginning to grow fur and soon discovered that she didn't have to be next to her sister. With the instinct to stay away from everything, she reverted to avoiding Raven. Even though Raven was still a source of warmth, Hope was terrified. Raven continued to attempt to snuggle and hope quickly accepted this as impossible to fight, but some part of her subconscious knew that it was important for herself.

A light pain jolted little Hope awake. Raven was standing over her and had just bit her, but Isabelle quickly intervened. Trying to go back to her mother for warmth, Hope went to the edge of the whelping box, but Isabelle had left for some time alone. Left alone with Raven, Hope sat down, but Raven didn't stand for it. Nudging, bouncing, and pawing Hope, all Raven wanted to do was play. It took Hope a while to understand the concept, but no longer than five minutes. Being the only warmth around, Hope chased Raven, while Raven occasionally tackled Hope but mostly just ran in circles. Hope was having so much fun that she didn't even realize when her mother came back.

Jumping, running, pouncing, barking, and playing, Hope was having the time of her life. Some might call the experience, "Those were the days," but she knew no different and considered it the only thing that she would do for the rest of her life. A new source of warmth rose from underneath her and she got a close look of The Face. The Face was who fed her and occasionally played with her and Raven. She had gotten used to The Face, but it was odd seeing The Face up close, and she was so high of the ground. She didn't mind being up high, but this was too high. A high pitch bark from Raven made Hope realize that Raven wasn't with her.

Even though her new life started, she never forgot her precious sibling. She occasionally sees her, about once a month, and when she does, it is an excitable day.

Hibiscus has grown a very close connection with Beckett. The two male pets cant seem to get enough of each other, leaving Beckett's sister Callie alone and seeking out attention more from their owners and even strangers that come to the house. Beckett will constantly hide in places that Hibiscus can't seen, but can definitely smell, in a wild game of hide and seek, sometimes breaking things, or knocking other things over with a game of tag. Of course, Hibiscus does get to go outside and get his energy out that way, but his friend tends to stay inside, fearing going outside.
