Maltese Retrieving Hounds are a cross between the Pharaoh hound and the Labrador Retriever. Originally bred to hunt in packs, they are mostly used in shows and sport hunts nowadays.

prompt: Very much a fan of the snow- Nightwish can always be found settled by and staring out a window whenever it’s snowing. She finds it very peaceful, and reminiscent of her earliest memories, curled up by a fireplace in a pile with her siblings, seeing a whirl of white in the windows, sometimes clearing to show a few stars. (It makes her feel better about herself, too- it took a long time before she could find a home, as the initial interested parties found her patterns striking, but also quite far from what they’d be interested in preserving...)

But after that first step out into the sparkling snow, Lumen was off to explore the snowflakes falling from the sky, sneezing as a few flakes settled on his nose. Growing more used to the snow, Lumen had fun playing in it, catching snowballs and rolling around on his back. What was first hesitancy, left him playful and curious, and he can't wait for another time in the snow fall.

Cold, the ice bit into his paws. Cold. He wanted warmth, the snow, so cold, it hurt. They laughed when he leapt up, desperate to avoid the freezing bits of white. They teased him, betrayed him. Chased him, lifted him and set him down on the frozen blanket again.
