Prompt: Libra loves stars because they give her a window into the outside world. Being trapped inside the walls of Summitfall Fortress for almost her entire life, Libra barely remembers what it's like to be in wide, open spaces. There's barely anywhere to run, if the small fields outside the keep count. The walls surrounding the fortress always made Libra feel claustrophobic, like she was being hemmed in from all sides and squished into a little box. But there's something about looking up at the stars that makes her feel secure. The galaxies and distant planets remind her that there's so much more going on, and her life is miniscule in comparison to the bigger picture. And yet, even in the chaos of billions of stars, there's an order to them, forming constellations and patterns in the night sky. They help Libra to remember that there's always more going on than meets the eye, and no matter how out of control her life can get, there will always be solid ground underneath her feet.

“Can’t you see why I love stars already peasants?” Aquilla scoffed as he was standing on his proclaimed observatory that was built for him by the realms himself. Many lions shook there head in the manner of “no” as capitol based lions milled about the isle of Dangarri. The brown lion sighed and smacked his antlers on the ground,“Because with them I can travel far and wide through the night while you and stuck traveling in the day and only day. I can make pictures out of them and chart how far they are moving while I’m moving. And why aliens orbit them!!!” He shouted shaking his paw at the sky like a mad lion, sadly the crowd dispersed when they heard his conspiracy theory. As much as they tolerated Aquilla and him wailing on and on about how much he loved stars but they simply could not stand his star conspiracy theories.

Prompt: Neowise loves the stars because they remind him of home. He's never actually left his planet, but for some reason he's always felt more at home under the night sky on a cloudless night. The stars are comforting, in an odd way. They're one of the few things that are constant in his life. He enjoys hearing the stories about the stars and constellations, and where they got their name. He even named himself after something in the sky. A recently discovered comet that only comes around once every 7,000 years. Thankfully, since he's the kingdom's astronomer, he spends a great deal of his time above ground at night. He's being paid to stargaze and document constellations. And he absolutely loves it. And everyone around him can tell. His happiness practically oozes off of him like honey, and when patrols go out and catch him gazing up at the sky, he looks like there's nowhere he'd rather be.

"Why do I love the stars?" Bjartur took a moment to contemplate before a smile grew on his face. "Well, I suppose my favorite reason is for the stories they tell." The lion chuckled. "Probably a strange answer. How can stars tell stories, right? You've heard of constellations. The pictures made up in the sky with the stars and how they align. It's basically the same thing. The stars form a picture which tell a story. And they're all different. Not just from region to region. One constellation could have five or six different stories pertaining to it. It's fascinating how different the same thing can be seen." His smile turned fond, his expression thoughtful. "My favorite constellation is corona borealis. The northern crown constellation. One story behind it is the crown was supposedly made by the god Hephaestus for Princess Ariadne of Crete on her wedding day to the god Dionysus." He shook his head with a soft chuckle. "A lot of the stories tend to be based on mythology. Which is fine with me because I love all the stories."

Prompt: Bolide loves the stars as they are filled with memories. Memories of nights filled with the voices of family, friends, acquaintances and so much more.

As a cub, his father explained the star’s stories, his voice filled with passion and hope. As an adolescent, Bolide played and laughed under the same stars, wrestling with his friends and trying to avoid bedtime. As he grew older he fell in love under the stars, fell out of love, he lost loved ones and he discovered new ones. He mourned, laughed, slept, and sparred under the night's light. While the moon changed, as fluctuating as a lions life the stars never altered.

And the stars were always there to remind him.

They had seen it all. Bodine's life was just a blink to them, they had watched empires rise and fall, they had seen cliffs crumble to dust and volcanos fade to islands.

And yet they were reassuring in their constant nature. Whenever he looked up at the stars they were the same ones that he had as a cub. And they were the same ones that everyone he had ever known looked at.

They connect Bodine to his own self, and to every other lion that had lived, and would live.

It may sound cliché, but the stars remind Kometa that there are other lions and beings out there. In the times she spent alone in the wild, she felt safety in looking up into the stars and knowing that someone out there was seeing the same thing. It might have been the secret romantic within, but it kept the loneliness away.
When she had the opportunity to join Echolake she was hesitant as she worried she would get judged for her fascination with the stars. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine her delight after finding out one of the pride traditions was sitting together at the end of the day and just watching the stars. Like many others, it was her favourite time of the day and she made many great friends through this activity that she could never imagine possible.

Prompt: Winter time brings not only cold, but the darkest nights. Many of the lions in her pride are not fans of the chilly nights but Stjärna didn’t mind at all. When the nights grew long and everything was quiet, she would climb up one of the snow-covered hills and look out to the sky. On nights like these, she could see more stars than any lion could ever dream to number. Stjärna sighed in awe every time she could see the beautiful stars fill the sky, shimmering and twinkling ever so gently, looking back down at her. She always imagined the stars as each having their own personality, and some of her favorites, ones she would look for every night, even had names. She loved to speak to them. She’d ask about things they liked, things they were afraid of, things they dreamed about, and each one had a different response. And in return she’d tell the stars things about herself, her own hopes and dreams. Her pride mates sometimes teased her, others, at times, even worried for her. But Stjärna didn’t mind them. She knew it was far-fetched, maybe it was just a fantasy, but every time she looked up at the stars Stjärna felt in her heart that there was more to them. Something so beautiful and awe-inspiring had to be more than just twinkling lights in the sky. They were powerful and unique, each and every one of them. And most of all they were her friends.
