Welcome to the Kepren nursery. It's here that Kep pairs come when they wish to bring forth a kep cub from space, using shards from their planetary orb to ask nearby solaris and lunas alphas to give them young.

The pairs will leave a half of their orb each, nestling them together on a high peak under either the midday sun or the highest point of the moon. Almost instantly, the halves will fuse together and form an egg. This egg will mimic the conditions of a planets core for the young kep, until its old enough to break out and be with its parents at last. It will gain its own shard, and a solaris or lunas will grant it with a dead planet that they have within their pull, rejuvenating the planet once more. For there is life in death, and keps understand this well.

It's rumored that very VERY rarely, a solaris or lunas close to collapsing will instead put themselves into the egg, creating a rebirth and cheating the system to once again ignite their power, essentially resetting their sun or black holes lifetime. This has yet to be seen, though.

'Artificially' produced keps differ very little from a normal born kep, and will have the same lifetime as a regular planet. Please be advised that when a kep egg hatches, magma will indeed be contained within more times than not. It's not recommended to keep eggs indoors.

Kepren of the same "gender" are able to breed, due to the species lacking a gender altogether. Pronouns are merely a formality for them, and act as more of a fun game for interacting with their companions.
Kepren are capable of calling forth a maximum of four cubs, though this is fairly rare. More often than not it’s just one, but anything is possible!

Rules:


- A kep may only produce once every month, due to needing a period of time to recharge their planetary orbs to full power again

- Keps cannot be bred without a breeding ticket, which are available in the store

- You must make sure an artist's slots are open prior to requesting that they do your breeding

- You must own a kep for at least a week before breeding them, giving them time to settle in

- If doing a split breeding, two cubs are guaranteed every time. You must decide among yourselves who gets which and let the artist know for archive purposes

- Cubs cannot be traded for at least a two weeks after birth

- A kepren cub will grow after one month from its birth date, this is subject to change
