The blizzard was on its way. As the sun was threatening to dip behind the horizon and turn the evening to night, someone shouts out, something about hearing a horse walking. The group quickly follows the sound, unsure what could be making the noise, but another member shouts about spotting a cave.

Sure enough, when the cave is inspected, several pairs of equine eyes gaze hopefully outwards, delighted to have finally been found.

Audrey is and has always been a friendly and sweet young mare, her gentle personality and overall kindness making her an easy one to get along with, whether she's met a cat or another horse or even an old mountain goat! She's always been the type to easily make friends.

During her time as a show jumper at Hawthorn, she had met and befriended so many horses, even those from neighboring ranches and stables that she had encountered in competitions and shows and formed a friendly rivalry or even alliance with.

She would get visitors from time to time as well, animals that missed her jolly demeanor and cheerful way of life, and she was always happy to greet them, and from time to time, she'd be the one doing the visiting!

Her best friend was a mare named Elise from a neighboring ranch just across the river and down the valley nearby, they had met during a Show Jumping competition and would listen to their handlers talk about ways to improve their performances, silently forming an allegiance between themselves as well.

So the thing that Audrey will miss most about the stables are her old friends, especially Elise, though she has faith that she will see them all again some day.

xxxxthe one thing pele will miss most about hawthorne hooves stable is her best friend tua, a miniature grey paint. this little gelding was one of her closest friends throughout her entire life at the barn. from the day she was moved to this stable, tua had helped comfort her when nobody else could. he always knew how to cheer her up and what to do when she was feeling under the weather. she would almost say that he knew more about her than she did herself. they spent every moment they could together, from the second she returned from practice to the second she had to head back out. they had even brought him along to her shows and competitions to motivate her even more. she would perform extra well with him around, almost like he was her lucky charm. pele didn't know what she would do without tua. he was everything to her. she would miss saying hi as she walked past to get ready for rides. she would miss roaming around in the pasture with him, grazing and cloud gazing. she would miss lounging around with him, not having a care in the world. she would miss performing for him at shows. she would miss tua so much. part of her imagined that he would come with her wherever she ended up after this whole mess was dealt with. she just hoped she would get to see her best friend again.
