Just as the trees seem like they can get no thicker and the woods themselves seem to be as black as night around you, when the hours have passed and things look dim, the group comes across a clearing. Inside, watching the group of rescuers emerge from the woods, are several horses.

The search and rescue group is absolutely thrilled, but then the questions arise - what happens to them now?

This is a Route One horse! Remember you must first enter in the Route One prompt before you enter for any horses listed as route one. You may only win two horses per route, excluding the horses listed as "Special," of which you may only win one total.

Naveen paced around in his stall, heart pounding. The barn was actually closing. After so many generations of champions that had grown up here, it was all for nothing. Naveen stomped his hoof down, tail swatting away flies. His neighbors gave him confused glances, shuffling away from the wall they shared with the stallion. He kicked his stall door, regretting it when his hoof started throbbing.

Naveen needed some fresh air.

He walked out into the small paddock attached to his stall, feeling the breeze of a coming storm. Naveen hoped that it wouldn't snow while they were on the road, it would make the already dreadful ride even more miserable. He glanced off into the distance, spotting the statue they had made of his sire. The copper statue was posed in such a regal way. the metal glinting from the small streams of light through the clouds. Naveen knew it was probably going to be melted down, but he didn't really now. He heard a ship whistle from his stall door, one of the stablehands stood there with his halter.

Guess it was time to say goodbye.

He was always an aspiring stallion, wanting to go above and beyond in anything and everything, he had the drive, the smarts and the willpower to overcome any obstacle and to keep at his practices until he excelled, no matter how pointless or exhausting they felt.

Over time, he watched as his father's empire quickly crumbled in the past year, watching the stables get closer and closer to permanently shutting down. He knew he would likely go his separate way from his family, it was inevitable anyways, especially for such a talented young Euphorian such as himself, he just didn't expect it to be so soon.

He felt pained, a hollow, aching twinge in his chest as eventually his lineage would lose their legendary status, their title, their rank.

When others found out who his father was, he would go down in history as just another show horse, just another stallion with a few titles to his name.

He would be forgotten, something his family tried their hardest to prevent from happening, but now it was impossible to stop.

He wept when he heard the news, tears falling from his blue eyes, he couldn't bear it, he couldn't let it happen.

He tried his hardest in the final days of Hawthorn Hooves, doing his best to put on a show for everyone around, to succeed and excel at the things he did best, and even the things he didn't do best.

But his efforts weren't enough to save the stables, and to this day he partially blames himself for the fall of his family's kingdom, but at the same time he knows that he had no control over it.

But it doesn't mean he will ever accept it.

xxxxanother rainy day. it seemed that ever since twist had overheard the owner of his treasured home mention the decline in popularity of the stable, it had been overcast and gloomy. he had known for a while that he was becoming less popular. there were other younger, more ideal stallions out there, why did they need him? twist felt as though he had lost his purpose. he hadn't been ridden in a while due to a slowly healing tendon injury, but he was almost back at full health. he could walk normally again, but he hadn't been on the course for months. being cooped up in this stall, despite its coziness, was driving him insane. all he wanted was to get out. he hadn't even been let out into the pasture until earlier this month. he was sick of sitting around all day. he missed hopping jumps in the field like he had no care in the world except getting to the other side.

xxxxsince his injury, twist had noticed things slowing down at the barn. he had noticed less people coming every day and more hours of silence. apparently, his appearances and triumphs in championships was one of the few things keeping the stable in the spotlight and generating income. as he suddenly disappeared, the public slowly became disinterested and the barn lost revenue. he blamed himself. twist was also anxious about what this would mean for his career and what would happen to him. he hadn't expected the barn to close though. he hadn't expected to be moved to land of euphoria temporarily until he got rehomed. he didn't want to leave. he would miss his riders. he would miss the coziness of his stall and the energizing cross country course and the whinnies of his friends down the aisle. twist felt scared and alone.
