floc's fear: Spiders crawling into their mouth at night. Kalliban heard about that one statistic once and they haven't been able to get to sleep easily since... despite being unable to land anywhere themself, so it would be hard for spiders to crawl onto them; nonetheless, Kal needs much cuddling and reassurances before he's able to finally drift off. And then it's a toss up if he'll have a nightmare about it or not and the process has to start all over!
Poor baby...

They are deeply afraid of being along for the rest of their life, they believe that having nobody to love or anyone loving you is a fate worse then death. this is why they try to stay with anyone they meet and make as many friends as they can possibly make, doing anything in their power to make people like them.

not necessarily the physical aspect of it, but more like the conceptional idea surrounding it.
pure raw darkness, who isn't scared of that?

the indiscriminate consumption of all light.

what started as a childhood fear, became a pathological fear.
when we're little, our fears are simplistic; they're pure, they often take shape in a physical, tangible form. however, as we grow older, those fears become more complex, more abstract, more intangible. thus, the manifestation of leviathan's fear is a black hole, for he fears an absence of light in his world.

being alone scares them.

floc's fear: disappointing others. it's a strong one, and it compels him to try and
be everything for everyone, all the time. he spreads himself dramatically thin in
his attempts to be everyone's friend, to resolve every conflict, to be perfect in
everyone's eyes. he's just terrified of the mere thought of others being disappointed
with him, so he tries and tries to do everything he can to avoid bringing anyone to
look at him with that look in their eyes that so haunts his dreams. he's sure one of
these days everyone's going to find him out-- they're going to discover that under
that smile he wears is so much stress and anxiety, that he's not the cool, composed
self that he shows to others, but rather, a very stressed, very anxious individual
who just can't bear for anyone to be let down by them.

winner! considering flox originally came from space and traveled quite a long distance to earth from their home planet, i felt this was very appropriate and in-lore!
