The feisty cat is the kind to focus more on herself. When others catch a sickness or injure themselves, it's their misfortune, and one that does not concern her (other than being a prime time to get in some laughter and teasing). "The world's unfair," she'll purr, "but this one probably on you." The cats in the cottage quickly learnt that even if she's your only option, Tiger Lily is not a cat to go for when searching for sympathy.

With one exception.

Conker may be blind to it, but the other's have noticed. Personally built walls that seperate her from the others start to crumble with the tom is around. However, what surprised them the most was that she was the one who started to pull it down, brick by brick. She was opening up.

So when Conker returned home one evening after a particularly hot day, ears down, eyes heavy and breath smelling of sick, no one was sure what to expect from the Toyger. Progress? Or the same uncaring you deserve it attitude?

"I don't feel too good," the tom grumbled, slinking towards one of the many cat beds. The one Tiger Lily was currently occupying. The residents held their breath as the Conker collapsed unceremoniously onto her.

"Hey, watch it!" Claws poised to strike, she spotted who it was. "Conker? What's up?"

With a low growl, the Tom shuffled himself so he lay next to Lily. "I think I stayed in the sun too long."

A loud, heartfelt laugh filled the building. "Oh my god, you idiot. How many times do I tell you this will happen?" Yet the words weren't harsh, but instead playful. "Don't eat, just sleep it off."

And just like that, Tiger Lily made room for the cat, and pressed herself comfortingly against him. After a slight hesitation and glance to check they didn't have an audience (the others hastily got back to their business), she began to soothingly lick his pelt.

The movements were awkward and unpracticed, but she was trying. She was starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, a little comfort could go a long way in this harsh world.

I thought life was just a big game of fun. No worries. Nothing to worry about. But that all changed when Annabelle got sick. She is my pride and joy so when she got sick it was the scariest day of my life. Me and her were just playing around she she fell back and started to twitch and shake quickly. I meowed and started to but her hand for her to pet me. When she couldn’t I got worried. I started butting her more and meowing more. Nothing happened. Then I came up with the idea to get her parents. I ran over and started meowing and butting them harshly. They thought something was up so they came with me. By the time we came back, she stopped but was knocked out. The grabbed a box and put something in.
After a while a thing with wheels came and put her on a bed and took her away. The people pet me and gave me treats but all I wanted to know is where she went. A month passed no sign. 2 months no sign. And then 3 months later she finally came back but she was still sick. After then, I was WAY more protective of my one and only love.

Humans were strange. They were always up and about, never taking a break. They didn't spend much time lazing around. Not that Alexi cared - only dogs depended on humans, begged them for their time.

That's way a bit of anxiety had wormed its way beneath the toyger's pelt. His human... wasn't moving. Or doing anything, really. The young man was simply lying around in bed, as if he was a cat.

Of course, his human might be sick... but his human never got sick. He had a good, healthy human... the toyger startled as a loud honk resounded from his human's bed. The sound of a person blowing their nose.

Okay. So say that his human was actually sick, which was obviously not the case. What... was he supposed to do?

The toyger jumped onto his human's bed, padding towards the young man's head. He sat down and stared. The human... wasn't looking too good. Then again, Alexi knew nothing about human sickness, other than the fact that his human didn't get sick.

He meowed. Loudly. Because meowing always made everything better when it came to humans, didn't it?

His human grumbled something, then hooked an arm around Alexi. Oh. So his human wanted to cuddle? He could do that.

The tom inched closer to the [definitely not] sick human, settling down beside him on the bed. He rested his head against the human's warm (but not unnaturally so) body and purred.

Because, you know. That always made humans feel better. (Even if they weren't hurt or sick.)
