RaidersRaiders is a development based game, where members are encouraged to develop their characters through writing and prompts. Experience is earned through completing prompts and creating art and stories for your characters, allowing members to level up and earn spaces to adopt, customize, or earn more cats. It is intended to push members, each level requiring more work than the last.
This is an adoptable cat! You may adopt this cat if you are at level one and have space in your group or adopt it as your founder!

Sun had always wanted to be a watcher. Ever since he was a young kit he'd wanted to sit in the trees and gaze upon the land they lived in, to be that one important pillar to the safety of the group. But.. Now he was actually doing it? Not so much. It didn't have any of the glory he had really been expecting, not much of the excitement. Everyone just.. sat around, looking at the ground all day.. WIP!

Prompt:
“Peach!”
He saw his sister running towards him, an excited look in her eyes.
“We get to go on our first task!”
This got his attention. The tasks were a part of the first challenge. There were 3 total tasks. One for hunting, one for finding herbs, and another for tracking. The first 2 were relatively straightforward and easy. The last one had two parts. The first was to track down a predator, like a fox. The second was to fight it. You didn’t have to win, you just had to fight.
“When do we start?”
“Right now! Come on!”
The two ran towards the task keepers, ready for the challenge.
---
“I found the prints,” he hissed to his sister. They had passed the first two tasks with no problem, and now they were on the final task. They had been looking for the foxes prints for a while now, and they had finally found them.
“Lets go.”
He looked at his sister’s face. It was set, she was ready. They were going to do this.
---
He got up. His paw was still sore from when he had twisted it. Even though he completed the challenge, he didn’t feel the joy he had thought he would. He looked at his sister. She looked just as bad as he felt. She had so many scratches on her. She wouldn’t be able to fight as well as she could, and she was very disappointed about it.
He rested his tail on her back, offering his support. “Let's go out there.”
She looked at him, sadness mixed with determination, and nodded.
As they walked out, there were cheers from the others. They stood, having shown they could do it, now officially an adult of the group. They still felt no joy. They felt lost. They didn’t know why, but they felt like it was all wrong. His sister, who would never be back to normal. Him, who couldn’t block out her screams, who hated the feeling of fur on his paws. He supposed he was a little happy. After all, now he was an adult. He could make his own decisions and do more things.
He held his head up more. He might as well try to enjoy today. It wasn’t everyday you became an adult.

The Dark ForestAge: 24 moons (2 years)
Gender: Male
Prompt:
Sun followed his father as he led the way through a very dark part of the woods. Sun was not sure why he was being taken alone with his father, but he had a feeling that it had something to do with what happened to his littermates long ago. Today was the day that Sun turned 12 moons old, and his father had said that there was something important about today.
When he turned six moons old, his father took him and his two sisters out to a big black path that had huge, loud creatures on it. They billowed black smoke and the smell made his eyes water. His sister started to complain, but closed their mouths quickly when their father glared at them. None of the kits dared to defy their father.
He told them that they had to cross the path to prove that they were ready to be outside the den and start to learn how to fend for themselves. Sun was the first to cross, since he was the oldest of the litter. He watched closely and waited for a spot that was wide between the oncoming monsters, then he bolted across successfully.
When he turned back he saw that his father was sending his sisters across immediately, but Sun saw a monster coming. He tried to warn them, but it was too loud and they did not hear. He watched his sisters get killed by one of the creatures; all while his father looked on, emotionless. He crossed the road to their bodies, wanting to take them to their mother. His father would not let them, saying that they were weak and this was their destiny from the beginning. Sun did not question, and left his sisters' lifeless bodies on the path for whatever carrion eaters that might find them.
He became very quiet after that, not talking or talking as little as possible. He watched as his mother had another litter, all three girls. He could not bare to think of what might happen to them, and swore to leave as soon as he could. He tried repeatedly to leave early, before his father could do anything more to him, but he did not succeed.
Now, on the day he turned 12 moons, his father was taking him to another spot that stunk of two legs. His father looked at him, showing him a huge place with many dogs. He explained that these dogs were trained to hunt and kill them, and that he wanted him to go down there and kill as many of the pups as he could. He then said that when he succeeded in killing at least five of them, he would be considered a full adult and able to take care of himself.
Sun looked at his father in horror. How could he kill innocent puppies that had never done anything to hurt him and could do nothing to defend themselves? He told his father no, which only succeeded in him getting a hard cuff around the ears. His father hissed at him and demanded that he do it, or die at his paws. Sun said no again, and launched an attack on his father. His father was larger and stronger, but Sun was faster. He eventually was able to overpower his father, without killing him, but his father would not stop.
Soon, a dog from the nearby farm heard the ruckus and came to check it out, and whenit saw that there were cats, it attacked them. Sun tried to save his father, but his father would not let him. He fought the dog off almost single-pawed, but his father did not survive. He decided that he was an adult, and that the way that his father used to decide such things was barbaric. He went back to his mother, and told her the news. She said that he was more of a tom than his father ever was. Together, Sun helped his mother to go to her sister's home with her two nice two-legs, who took in his mother and three newborn sisters.
He still visits his mother and sisters once a moon, and has vowed that he would never let a cat like his father tell him what to do again. He also decided that he would start to travel, not staying in one place for too long. He liked the idea of seeing many places and always bringing back stories to his special family.
