Ambrosia namesake comes the Greek god and godesses' food Ambrosia. It is believed that this food was the sole reason the Greek deities had immortality. Ambrosia's owner named him that in hopes the namesake would rub off on him and give him a sense of immortality in the arena. While Ambrosia's current owner has been unable to see him in the arena; his records show that his namesake has been rubbing off on him and giving him good fortune.

How they feel about themselves
Ambrosia is rather shy when it comes to his apperance. He knows his unusual metallia gives him quite a boost in his score when he competes in the Metallian Warmblood competitions, but he doesn't like the fact that his metallia gives him this special privilege. He wants himself to be scored on how well he preforms not if he has ribbions, bows, and hair chalk in his mane. He snorts in laughter when other horses talk about how their handler is dolling them up.
'Why bother judging metallia and dolling us up? What does it matter? We're here to compete not be pretty ponies.' He mentally scolds. He absolutely hates his metallia in the competing ring, but outside of it is he sings a different tune. Outside of the ring, where he isn't judged by how he looks, but how he acts he feels free. People and horses aren't looking at him as something magical and amazing, but as a single person. They judge him by how he acts not by how he looks and he loves it. He loves how normal it feels to not have to worry about it because he knows he's a good horse and the rest of the herd knows it. Inside of the ring he loves his metallia because it allows him to blend in and be free. Free to be silly, goofy, to act like a yearling, to be himself. Free to act how he pleases and not be judged.
