Ever since then however, she loved to paint inspirational quotes on cool backgrounds, her favorite pieces are quotes on galaxy-esque backgrounds. So, whenever her friends are upset, she takes the time to carefully draw out the background, but it has to be similar to her friends' personalities. Sometimes it's sunflowers and sometimes it's a city encased in rain, with the moon and stars poking through, but whatever the background is, there's always a nice quote on top of it. However, after seeing how many of these paintings she was giving out, she decided to switch tactics. Instead of doing the quotes on top, she just decided to paint scenes. If her friends had a bad day because of a test, she'd somehow incorporate the bad thing into something beautiful and good. Her friends asked her if she'd sell the paintings one day, but she responded with a short and quick no. Because this was for making her friends and the people she cared about feel better. Each person has their own preferred way of coping with emotions and daily struggles, while one tactic may cheer one person up it may not cheer the other, you cannot comfort one with a hug if they don’t like to be touched compared to one who does. Therefore, Darla has developed a few ways to tailor to her friends needs. For one friend she will suggest they write out what is bothering them and how it makes them feel before tossing it away, as they don’t like sharing their despairs and stressors. The other friend Darla will take to the Boardwalk to delve their mind into activities such as playing games, swimming and rides to distract their mind from their troubles. The last friend just likes to sit and talk about their feelings as an ear is better than none. Lastly one way Darla likes to cheer up her friends is by gifting them a bag of rocks filled with inspirational words and cute designs which her friends can use when she is unavailable, that way it lets them all know that she is always there for them. To sum it up, Darla simply likes to cheer her friends up anyway possible, she takes pride in simply making them feel better, she tailors to their needs as each friend prefers different tactics.

Amaryllis would always just get a ton of comfort food for her friend. Whether it would be running down to the nearest convenience store or cooking something up in the kitchen. She’s always there as soon as she can with a welcoming package of food.
If her friend isn’t down for some company, she’d just leave the food package at their door and leave, dropping a short text to them when she gets home. However, if her friend is okay with company, she would just accompany her friend to do whatever it is to get their mind in a better place. It could be watching movies, doing a home facial, massage or maybe even talking it out. Most of the time, she would remain silent initially. Amaryllis would talk about other things, such as the show they’re watching, the activity they’re doing or just random weird facts that she could recall at that point. When she feels that they are feeling better, they would ask if they’re comfortable sharing what was on their mind. If they’re not comfortable sharing, she would nod and suggest to eat or just continue small talks. If they’re comfortable sharing, she is all ears, tissue at the ready if need be.
Amaryllis might not be the best advice but she’s a great listener. She would always be there to lend a listening ear and sometimes, a shoulder to cry on.
