Buttermilk #905

Postby certified » Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:11 am

seems a lil spooky here

To get this babe, draw and/or write about a thing they seem drawn to and why. That could be a certain type of clothing, animal, stuffed animal, item, etc.,

If you are choosing to only write, your minimum word count is 200. If you are drawing a single piece and writing a little bit about it, you have a 100 word minimum. And if you choose to do more than one art piece, you are not required to write for the prompt.

prompt:

Penny has always been attracted to clowns ever since they were a young calf. Their first experience was visiting the country fair and seeing clowns do fun tricks along with telling jokes, it brought them great joy as a calf and they hold it dear to their heart and is what inspired them to become a clown. They carry around their first balloon animal made by a clown which is a little red dog which somehow stayed inflated for all these years. It rarely leaves their side as they see it as their good luck charm and comfort when they go out on stage to entertain the people just as the clown who made their balloon dog once did.

gender: heifer
collar/bell color: eye color with darker stars and hearts
prompt:
Jaunt has always been in love with the outdoors. The act of being outside, being near dirt, grass, bugs- it was all so amazing to her. Being outside was also incredibly difficult for her, given her living situation, but it was also something she needed. She was drawn to that feeling of being free, of ridding of the bad thoughts, of feeling the grass underneath her, of watching the crickets hop through the bright blades of grass. She loved it.
But Jaunt lived in an apartment. In the middle of a massive city. Blades of grass? Not a thing here. The only thing here was loud noises and smoke and people who yelled at eachother everyday. To Jaunt, it was absolutely horrible.
Yet the grass and the dirt and the freedom and the fresh air called to her, and she listened. If Jaunt saw an opportunity to get away from the stress of the city, she would always take it.
A random hiking trip her friends had planned, a brochure for a week-long camping session- she'd gladly do it all. There were so many little things that made her unhappy. Being in the outdoors, howling with the wind, settling down next to an old oak tree for a snack... those were the things that allowed her to not worry, even if only for a few minutes.
Being surrounded by nature was what Jaunt was drawn to.

Prompt: 249 Words
Ribbit Ribbit, the frogs and toads chirp during early evening time. Lightning bugs hum around her ears as she slowly approaches. Stalking, dauntlessly closer and closer. Once she reaches the edge of the water, with the moonlight glistening down on the ripples, she see it. Her one true obsession, sitting there oh so still. She also sits, still as a statue. For hours she waits and watches, listens and thinks. Her eyes never leaving the water. What is it that draws in and holds her attention for so long? Then, she sees her moment to strike. After so many hours laying in silence the time has come. Quick as a strike she grabs it, squirming in her grasp. “Gotcha! Oh man you’re a big one!” A fairly large American bullfrog sits between her hooves, still slightly squirming. Amazed by its size and in awe at his yellow throat. She holds him close and runs her hoof down it’s back, feeling the smooth skin. After a few minutes she bids the frog farewell, staring into its eyes. She plops it down back into the pond where it disappears under the surface. She sits silently watching and listening to the froggy Sinatra. Oh how she loves the summer nights when the frogs and toads are active. Every night she goes to the pond, drawn to them and their songs. In the winter she waits in silence, for them to return in the spring. So she can enjoy their company once again.
