The Canam Dog was developed in the last 20 years by flyball enthusiasts in an effort to create the perfect flyball dog. They were named after the largest annual tournament, the CanAm Flyball Classic.
It is highly encouraged that players adopting Canam Dogs participate in the flyball RNG game.

This will be a drawing competition. To win, draw this dog at their first flyball race! You can draw them before, during, or after their first race. Are they staring down the track, ready to go? Are they racing down the flyball track? Or are they celebrating a win? It's up to you to decide! Additionally, you can add a written description of the dog's experience, ~200 words. Harvey was not ready. Unlike what his trainers and team thought, Harvey was anything BUT ready!
And why, might you ask, was Harvey totally, 100% incapable of being ready?
Stage fright.
Ask him to run in front of his friends and sure, he could do it no problem!
But in front of a whole crowd shouting and cheering in his face? No way!
They wanted him to start, and as his owner shuffled him towards the starting position he could hear his opponent barking fox-talk at him.
Normally, the dogs would be straining against their owners, getting ready to leap forward... but Harvey was doing quite the opposite... he was leaning backwards, away from the starting line.
As the countdown began and his owner let go...

Maggie hopped excitedly from one front foot to the other, her tail wagging from side so fast it was almost a blur, it was time to race again! All around her, the barks of other excited dogs filled the indoor arena but all she focused on was the blue ball stuck to the flyball box at the end of the track.

Her owner held onto her sides and stroked her fur gently to keep her focused. She was the lead dog on the team, the first to go, the pressure was on.

The judge nodded his head at her team. Her owner let go of her and as quick as lightning she raced down the track, over the obstacles, grabbed the ball expertly in her jaws, turned and raced back to her owner - all in mere seconds! The room roared with the cheers of the audience but it had all merged into a colourful blur as she ran.

Maggie felt exhilarated and the look on her owners face was to die for. She quickly dropped the ball and played with her favourite toy with her excited owner whilst the rest of her team ran an almost perfect race behind her.

Yahtzee had never felt fear so strongly than when he felt the top of his paw knock the top of the hurdle. He felt gravity work against him as he flung forward, falling onto his face and tumbling along into the next hurdle.

The penalty whistle pierced his sensitive ears and he hesitantly stood up, tail tucked as he limped his way back to where he had started. Yahtzee had been nervous for his first race, but he didn't think that he'd end up losing focus like he did.

He avoided moving at all that night, choosing to stay curled up on his bed with his special blanket over him. He felt utterly disappointed in himself and refused to look at his trainers, fearing what they might say to him or what kind of expression they would give him.

Regardless, Yahtzee had been rewarded a simplistic participation ribbon. It was dainty, pale white and had only shown that he had attended the race that day. He didn't look at it for long, instead opting to dip his head and avoid any sorry glances while walking out.

This was the first day of his own flyball career and he felt terrible.

A shuddering breath gave her away.

"Hey," Lighting mumbled, nudging the young pup. "You don't need to worry."

Flare nodded, but her mind and heart still raced alike. If the gossip she'd heard was true, Lightning was the best racer they had, and must know what she's talking about. "Um, yeah, okay."

With a bright smile, Lightning took her place. "If you get nervous, then keep your eyes on me. I'll show you that it's all about having fun!"

Unwilling to speak, worried her voice would betray her, Flare nodded. She took her place behind Lightning. The first dog set off.

I... I can't do this! It's too soon, I need more practice! What if I trip? Or can't even catch the ball?

Panic was setting in when a flash before her eyes caught his attention. Lightning was racing down the track, tail waving slightly and eyes bright. The noise around her died down, it was as if they were the only ones in the room. Her speed, her grace, but most importantly, the pure joy.

This... This is going to be fun! I.. I can do this!
